Actually according to Marti total production was only 1,682.

Just out of curiosity, is it just the 4x4s that are that rare? I've got a '79 Supercab Lariat F-350, but it's a two wheel drive, 400, 4 speed.

About 3700 2wd F350 Supercabs were built. Not quite as rare as the 4x4 but still pretty rare compared to 65,000 F350s or 22,000 F250 SCs.

That is still a pretty rare truck, if you figure 3,000 a year between 74-79 that is only 18,000 total, probably considerably less as I think the earlier years had lower numbers.

No question a lot more than the 4x4 but still not many.

I have been meaning to get a Marti Report on mine just have not got around to it.

Not that it really matters just braggin rights around the neighboorhood

I got a 1979 f100 super cab 4x4 long box with the 400 and 4 speed manual. Hopefully when I get some cash I can start restoring it! It's in pretty bad shape.. Haha

I have three SuperCab long bed.

1. 1979 F350 4X4 Camper Special 460 conversion restoration is nearly finished when the glass shop gets finished. Very minor rust issue to be taken care of within the next year or so.

2. 1977 F350 2WD Camper Special 460. This truck gets driven almost to the point of being called a daily driver.

3. 1979 F250 (?) Vin says F100, but axles are F250 front and rear. Body is badged F250. Body in sad shape. Truck #2 will provide the new body and bed. Plus, if I cannot make a Cummins conversion it will get the 460 from Truck #2. This project will be a frame off restoration. I doubt much of anything will be finished before 18 months from now.

Your really making me want to kick myself in the *** for selling mine! I know once I see it done I'll regret selling it. Your truck looks great.

Here is another true 350 I sold a few years back.
