How much did the TMeyer setup end up costing you? I want to do it, but get a ZF5 5 speed to put behind it as well.
I think I'm in my engine about 2K. That was local machine work with some local machine shop supplied parts, and the good stuff being supplied by Tmeyer. As for the ZF5, talk to Wyoming 4x4. He's doing that swap and it's not exactly straight-forward. There are a couple of things that need to be done to make it work. Search for his user name and you'll find the thread.

Ain't that the truth. I cleared it with the wife before I bought my supercab that she wouldn't mind all the time I'd spend working on it. So much to do to it, especially since I bought it for the price of scrap, which is what the PO thought about it. It sure has a lot of work to be done to it, but it's strong where it counts (drive train and suspension) just needs a nut like me to bring it to give it the tlc it deserves. I estimate I'll be done with it how I want in about 2 years, money allowing. It really helps my dad had his own auto body and repair shop and has his garage setup for all of it still plus wholesale accounts setup for most of the stuff I need.
My wife hated mine at first but now that she saw how much I enjoy it she said I can never sell it. I helped the PO of this one rebuild the motor about 12 years ago and have been waiting for him to sell it ever since.
Great thing about these trucks is that alot of people, at least around here kind of view them as scrap and a guy can pick one up cheap, especially with fuel prices so high. I am currently spending a new truck payment on gas but at least I am sitting in something I like.
Call me lucky by wife likes to drive the thing almost as much as me!! Helps a lot that everything "works" that seems to be a big plus at least in my house.......
