Calling All Supercabs
Been awhile, I actually forgot to update this thread on my status. I did end up getting that 78 F-150 4x4 long bed supercab 351m. I haven't been able to do much to it since I'm tight on cash (same old problem) but its also been running strong and hasn't needed a damn thing.

Here are a few recent photos of my truck in action. I've tested her multiple times and still runs strong with no issues. I paid a little more than most for the truck ($1,500 cdn) but haven't had to put any more into it, sure I have, but that was my choice.

Even took my brother, dad and I too Algonquin couple weeks back with canoe and gear etc. Man I love my truck!
A few months ago I bought my SC for $400 thinking I could make a little money on it on craigslist. I was wrong! But, that's a good think because the longer I have it the more I like it. A couple weeks ago I removed it from c-list (couldn't even get $1500 for it) and have officially welcomed it to the fleet! Cleaned all electrical connections and contacts under the hood, oil change and cleaned the fuel system, she runs and drives GREAT!
A few pics in my garage.
I havent looked to see if I have a build sheet under the seat but there is a breakdown as best as I can figure it.

Just fell right off..
So anyways I learned from my mistakes never buy a truck that you want to restore from somewhere they salt roads, inless it was kept in a garage its whole life and never driven in winter.
Then I started looking out of state and somehow my luck turned around and I found just a beautiful 1979 F350 4x4 Camper special in Reno NV I called immediately, a respectable older man answered the phone. I told him I was extremely interested in his truck he gave every little detail about even mentioned the tint was bubbled on it! So I told him Ill buy it. Then he asked when I was going to pick it up, I told Im in Minnesota, there was along pause he then said "holy cow!" 1900mile trip one way. He then was wondering why I wanted this truck from all the way over there. I explained to him the rust situation with MN and he understood. And by the grace of god he agreed to shipping it. I was jumping for joy! I couldnt believe how smooth everything went tho. I sent a check to him he then sent title. I set up shipping it was 1600 from Reno to Forest Lake MN which yea that might be alot but its a heavy truck I thought it was worth it seeing I got the truck for a extremely reasonable price. So about 3 weeks later I was on my to pick my baby up. I hauled her back with gramps truck 2012 f150 ecoboost it had plenty of power but you knew you had something behind you! Got about 10mpg at 73mph lol. But anyways enough blabbing heres some pictures!!

On flatbed on its way!!

Good storage for winter!

Hanging out in the garage

Hauling her home! Best feeling in the world!

Had to do alittle burnout my buddy writing his initials in the rubber pile. Whiskey was involved. ha

It was alittle smokey after. Had a good aroma tho.
There you have it. My view is you gotta keep the old iron on the road. To me this is just the beginning. Its a addiction and a passion to me to collect these old fords. Next summer its getting a full resto I will post a build thread when I start. I love sharing the same passion as the rest of you on this site.
Thanks
Max
