Thank you ranger429! That complement means a lot coming from you! I was truly saddened to see yours sold. I hope that I never have to be in a situation that I need or want to sell. 1 of 1682 probably don't come around very often.
I have a question for you, the truck you just posted, to your knowledge was the interior in original condition when you got it? Reason I ask is my paint codes are HU but my entire metal dash does not match the H code(brown)...I have pics of another 79 f150 Scab with same paint codes and it has the same non-matching paint on the dash. Currouis to hear your thoughts.
U had another 350, ranger? Did u restore that one also?
Yes that was the first one I had. I bought it from a guy and was planning on keeping it but found some hidden bodywork he didn't tell me about. He also said it had a D60 and when it got to me it was only a 44. I put a 60 in ti, lifted the front and detailed it then resold it.

Thanks man! I know finding another in the condition that the one I just sold will be extremely rare. Just for the record I wasn't pressed to sell it, just burnt out. I'm going to focus my attention on my old 47 IH that I've had for a few years.
As far as interior, I honestly don't know if it was original or not. Post a picture of your interior and I can give you my opinion of what I think you have, not that it means it came that way originally.
I need to get pics of mine in better light ,but these are of a "79" Scab that I nabbed from a CL add and my dash looks to be identical in color...

***NOT MY TRUCK***
Supercab max, that's a real nice F350 4x4 you have as well! A little bit of lift and bigger tires go a long way towards loosing that long/low profile. Mine has 6" with 38.5" tires.
Yes that brown on the dash is the OE color. Looks nearly identical to the dash color on my old supercab and my old Bronco dash. I've got no interior pics handy but it was the same color combo as that 350 supercab I sold.
Thanks for confirming that!!! I bought the truck in '05 with 21,646 original miles and the odd dash color has bugged me since day 1. Seems strange to me that it doesn't match.
I posted pictures of mine in a different Supercab thread, but here it is again. The previous owner fixed it up to look like a fire truck to advertise his brush pumper truck business. I haven't done a thing to it since I bought it. I plan on putting an original bed on it, and eventually swapping in a Cummins.
All work on the truck is on hold until my new shop is finished. Here it is, it's 36' wide by 52' deep. Someday I will put in a concrete driveway, but that's going to wait until after I build a new house. The shop is almost done. Need to finish up some electrical work and put in drywall & insulation. The door looks smaller than it really is. It's 10' tall and 16' wide.
^^^nice! I like the flatbeds too and think they look better than a regular cab w/flatbed. I also like to change mine up from time to time. It would be nice to have a set of the factory 4wd hub caps for these trucks.
It's not that uncommon for the color of the dash to not match the exterior. I've got a white Supercab with a blue dash, my F-150 is gold with a brown dash, and my dad had a white Supercab with a green dash. I know for a fact they all came from the factory like they are. I think it was something that could be chosen at the dealership when you ordered.

That’s interesting info on the dash colors. I can see with a white truck that the dash would correspond with whatever color cloth/vinyl interior was installed. Still looks odd to me when I open the door on my 2 tone truck and see the dash that doesn't match either color.

Thanks man! I was thinking a 12" springs on 44s but then again not very practical and also I don't want to **** anybody off by "ruining" a rare truck but I have always wanted a big truck what do you guys think? set of 4 springs are $2400 with poly bushings and u bolts from National Spring, and I wouldn't by tires new being that they're 700+ bucks a pop.
What part of vin would you have to look at to find out original paint color of truck? Also that vin on the frame where is that usually located?
Thanks
Max
