The Sc seriers for the 1704 and 1706 we do not sell anylonger. They are discountinued and we DO offer a trade up policy. $250+shipping+old tuner and copy of invoice and you CAN upgrade to the 1805.
Stay Tuned!!!

That's news to me, Ron. I was an "early adopter" of the Flashpaq (bought it in January), and at the time I was told by Superchips that the 1700 series was going to continue to be in production AND there were no plans for an upgrade special to existing owners. You can imagine that I'm not thrilled to now find out the company did a "180", although I'm happy for anyone else in my position that can now take advantage of that deal...
I wound up buying an 1805 through a dealer, not through Superchips directly so I doubt there's anything you can do in hindsight but I'll ask anyway ... Will the company consider doing something for me (and others in my position) who were told (very specifically) something completely different from the current policy? Even something like giving me a complimentary upgrade to the new HPTuner software, would be very meaningful! If you think this might be possible we can continue this conversation privately, as this is getting somewhat off topic for this thread.
Wow, I hadn't heard about the 180. I was an SCMT user and switched to the SCT for the superior product and easier updates. Now the flashpaq is out and so is my wallet. I am happy with both products.
Hello all, I know theres a couple of you experts out there. I just bought the Flashpaq and it is awesome! I can feel the backlash when I step on the go pedel. My Dually feels like a 12 legged mule on steroids. My question is this: What is the speed limiter raised to? If I chose to disable the rev limiter, what is that raised to? I'm running a stock (only the programmer now) engine, no gauges yet. With the engine in Tow Safe mode, only speed limiter removed, and tire size adj. Great product! Thanks guys.

Unless they've changed it since I left, the speed limiter is raised to max value (you will never reach it, you will be stopped first by wind force overcoming HP, rpm, etc...).
I'm not condoning this behavior, but I had a 2003 6.0L 2WD 4 door running data acquisition on a highway top speed run with the original Superchips 1704 PERFORMANCE program
It was running at 141 MPH. LOL. This is on the laptop obviously, not the speedo, which was pegged =o)
Don't try this at home.
I was on a very straight, flat section of "asphalt" (that's all I'll disclose, hehheh) with no others cars in sight.
I'm going to give mine a try next hitch I go on...I've got 14,000 feet of clean runway to run. I'll bring one of our new GPS packs with me to see what the ground speed is. We also have a new RADAR gun and trap that I can get one of the mechanics to clock me. We have a pretty long patch of rubber laid down from when the bombers were there.
Vic do you remember how long it took you to get up to that speed?

Actually I don't.
I had the data run saved for quite awhile, but it's not my property anymore....
The mid 04 through 06 trucks are definitely less torquey, but you should still get a nice top speed.
It it auto or maual? Are your WOT shifts (auto) with the performance program happening around 4,000 RPM?
It's an auto...I'm not sure I understood your question about WOT happening at 4000 rpm.?
I do have both the FlashPaq and the SCT and will probably give both a run just for the hell of it...
Any suggestions on setup to give this a good run? I bet things get really noisy at 141mph. I'll remove my bug guard as I'm sure it's not rated for that kind of speed<G>...
Thanks for the info Vic. What is the rev limiter raised to?
I originally raised it to 4500, but made sure it didn't shift past 4000-4200.
I believe its still that way in the performance program.
If youre in OD, assuming the wind resistance isn't too great, you should be able to reach 43-4400 RPM.
Obviously, getting it to make power up there takes much more than raising the rev limiter.
I can't remember if the top speed run I made was in a truck with 3.73's or 4.10's.
It was not an offroad suspension, and had the smaller tires. I believe it had 3.73's

...
At wide open throttle, what RPM does the truck shift? (if you just hold the throttle on the floor and let run through the gears)
It should be shifting around 4,000 RPM.
From the factory, there is a "de-rate" that doesn't allow any power past 3600 RPM.
The flashpaq should be removing that like the 1704 and 1706 used to....
If the truck noses over after 3500 RPM, don't expect any great top speed runs =o)
The truck didn't have a thermocouple at the time, but on the dyno at simulated load/speeds with the same program it never went over 1400..........and thats under some extreme load and duration.
The dual-eddy current superflow we were using literally could create enough load to STOP the truck (which is more than any trailer you can pull).
To simulate the load a dual eddy current dyno can place on your truck:
Step 1: Strap your truck to a sea wall
Step 2: Find an alternate universe where you always have perfect traction
