Evening Tim and Wayne and Ken. Nice that you have the lake Tim. Wayne, the red hue on that pic is great! Ken, 343am? Now that is early. I have a buddy up here that uses used oil or diesel to heat his garage.
Good morning WA...Happy Saturday #4...we're on the downhill slide to the weekend...hang on for the ride. Looks like we're getting a break from the heat...high temp today in the mid 80s...humidity will be down as well. Hope MA Nature is giving you a break also!!!
Ken, 343am? Now that is early. I have a buddy up here that uses used oil or diesel to heat his garage.
Yup yup my sleep schedule has been broken my whole life and is constantly flopping and it always happens when it's hot out.
I considered a waste oil heater for the barn but I don't produce enough waste oil on my own to make it worth it. I finally got it in writing from my insurance broker that I can put a wood stove in the barn and that they'd cover it!
When we had our shop built we put in floor heat, we keep it around 50° in the winter. We also have a wood stove in the shop, so I can bring it up to short sleeve temps.
ThongTastic Thursday Washington, Tim, Ken, Wayne, Steve, Ken, Roy and all the crew.
Wayne, another nice picture of the Sanctuary and it looked like a beautiful start to the day!
Another dry day in my woods and the Soothsayers crystal ball has missed its prediction for the last month. The 3/4 of an inch we were to have the last 36 hours turned out to be 2/100th!
Cooler day here topping out at 83° - so they say, but high 70-80% rh but dropping later in the evening. It will be a mostly cloudy day here.
Evening Tim and Ken. Tim, that in-floor heat is super. I have a wood stove in my shop but on really cold times, it takes a couple of days to get it nice in there. When I was working and had repair to do on Sat. I would start the fire Friday after work and keep it going thru the evening. Then again early Sat morning. By Sat. evening it would be getting pretty decent, but that cold floor really kept it colder!
2315 local time, 80° 31% RH, one of the first nights with little to no smoke in the air. We have the house open but shoot I'm ready to turn the AC back on.
I went on a road trip with a buddy today/Thursday and we're in Redwood City, CA and it's 57 according to the thermometer outside. Weird that by driving south the temperatures went down!
That is odd, I'm not exactly sure where Redwood city is. I'll google it. On another thread I see it was 67° in or near San Fransisco today and they were complaining of the heat.....
Evening Tim and Ken. Tilled three of the gardens today and messed with a bunch of other stuff which seemed to tire me out! Also dug the garlic this morning. I didn't count but there must be at least 75 heads.
Sensational Saturday morning Washington, Tim, Ken Ken - is that something like Can Can and do really want to see that dance? LOL, Wayne, Steve and all the crew.
Well, the Soothsayers lied, and it is sunny! But it is 83° and the RH is only 54%. But the sun is hot, and it will make you wet working outside.
Gathered what should be enough Elderberries to make at least 1 gallon of Tincture! Plant more coming on and should be ready in about 7-10 days! I am hoping on at least 2 full gallons.
Now change shirts, head out and eat something and then to DD's for Puppie pen work!
Then home and strip the berries and get them in jars!
