Joyous Sunday morning Washington, Tim, Steve, Ken and all the crew.
Yesterday was a road trip day to see Wifey's parents. About 3 hours or 190 miles each way. Thankfully it was a nice day and traffic wasn't bad!
Off to Mom's and do my Sunday routine. Have a Blessed day!
Maria and I got in the lake for the first this year, still a little cold but when the temperature was in the high 80s it felt really nice.
We have smoke in the air this morning. There is a 300-acre fire up lake from here maybe 30 miles to the West. Other than that, it looks to be a nice day.
Evening Tim. I hope the fire can be addressed. Hard to believe we even had smoke way over here last year.
We have been in the 50's for a share of the day. Can't help but think it feels good!
I got the old tile thimble out of the chimney without disturbing the vertical tiles up thru the chimney. I ended up just going slow using a 3/8 masonry bit in a cordless hammer drill in one hand and the shop vac nozzle in the other. Came out better than I was thinking it would. Tomorrow, I hope to pick up new materials and start the reverse process. Years ago, this would have all been completed and on to the next job by now!
Good morning Ken, Rod, Steve and anyone else that stops by.
Sometimes it takes me all day to get nothing done!
Yesterday, was a busy day though. We smoked some fish in the morning, found out my smoker Masterbuilt Charcoal Smoker doesn't really go low enough for smoking fish. I had to stay on it and do some on site modifications. I have a plan for some other mods that will make it better. Anyway, the fish turned out good, just glad we didn't do a bunch as it would have taken way too much time to mess with it.
Then I got on the tractor and moved a couple piles of rocks that have been gathering, chipped some prunings, moved the 17' flat bed trailer, aired up the tires and got everything ready to go get a load of food for Donkey Odie!
It has been raining most of the day here in Trinidad. Did I mention they told me I was finished in Kitimat on the Wednesday the 29th, traveled home the Thursday the 30th, had a meeting on Friday the 31st then travel to Portland to fly to Trinidad on Saturday the 1st to be in training on Sunday the 2nd and start the job on Monday the 3rd??
I am one tired puppy dog. As soon as I get done here they want me to go to the service center in Houston to do an overhaul on a booster and a power turbine and set up a test cell to run the new turbines for everyone.
Gota family reunion the middle of July to go do also.
Evening Tim and Eric. Eric, you must wake up and wonder where you are sometimes! Good thing they have you by the sounds of things.
Tim, you tired me out just reading what you did today! LOL
Good Tuesday morning Washington, Tim, Eric, Steve and all the crew.
Steve, I am with you on Tims Did List and Erics Travel plans! I am almost too tired to type after reading that!
Good afternoon Eric, Steve, Ken, Rod and the rest.
It windy here today 25 to 30 mph, I suppose it would just be a slight breeze if I were in Great Falls with @Sailor Roy
We made the trip yesterday and got a load of hay without any kind of ordeal, the truck and trailer performed flawlessly.
I worked on the Bronco for a bit this morning, cleaned up in the shop, washed Maria's car, went to the Chiropractor and well I guess just milled about some.
Evening Tim. I puttered on the chimney thimble project. I got the new tile flue cut. I only have a dry saw so the dust really flies. Brought the plow truck down in front of the garage and used the tail gate as a work surface to keep that mess outside. I could have done more but I have learned that when I keep going and not really feeling it, I often do poor work, so I quit!
