Evening Tim and Eric. Hot and sticky is the word. We had a bunch of thunder but not much rain. The bottom of my barn is very wet on the floor. It is still cooler in there than the air coming in. The uphill side and both ends are layed up stone, so it takes a while for that all to warm up.
That's the nice thing about fishing because even if you don't catch anything you get some outdoors time!
I'm going to go mow 1/3rd of the lawn then head to the barn to chip away on my truck because firework seasons coming quick!
*fixed my fat fingered spelling
Good morning WA...hope y'all had a great weekend!!! We managed to miss all the nastiness that was forecast yesterday...today should be a very nice day. Hope it is in your little slice of heaven!!!
I got a notification that this thread was active and then I looked at what time it was!!!!! Ugh I got carried away in the barn doing projects so I'm going to wrap it up and go take a shower then get some sleep.
It's 87F at 73% humidity here in Pt Lisas. It rained as I was getting up earlier so we've been drying that up this morning.
The big crawler crane is lifting a cooler off the roof of where I gotta crew working so nothing going on there then it's gonna storm again so that'll shut it down again.
Eric, If I read your post correctly, it sounds like you are spinning your wheels.
Rod, Four days to train the new guy..... Oh wait you don't have a new guy ! So what's there plan? Hire all the maintenance out to a third party.
F350Ken, I see you posted at 3 AM you must have been having fun. I take it your not married? My wife would have been calling me, making sure I wasn't smashed under a truck. I can here her now "It's time to give it up, get down here and go to bed" LOL
Big Ken, I hope the day turns out nice for you.
No wind here yet, sunny and 71° so far, the prediction is for winds later today.
F350Ken, I see you posted at 3 AM you must have been having fun. I take it your not married?.
Haha I am married and my wife puts up with my broken sleep schedule from working nights for 25 years. She also knows I'm not a fan of hot weather so i take advantage of the cooler night temps to get stuff done.
Evening Tim, Ken and Eric. Finally had a cooler day here. It is welcomed but not lasting too long.
Got a new code reader for vehicles. Why do they think everybody has a phone in their hand so they can read the instructions online? How old fashioned of me not to have!
Eric, those big cranes don't like lightning. My son builds flour mills well over 200 feet tall and their cranes get in a time out when that stuff happens. Hard to believe how much counterweight they have. He sent me a video of a windstorm down in TX a couple of years ago and the wind was pushing the crawler crane along and tearing up the black top as it did without tipping it over. Pretty amazing. The biggest thing I have around here is an engine hoist! LOL
