I would do some reading about that. Apparently, from other members who have gone this route, it is asking for trouble.

I've seen people do both gaskets and no gaskets and it seems it's split 50/50. I think I saw one guy machine his and then use high temp silicone to bridge the gap on his manifolds almost like a gasket. More so to make up for slight imperfections than a real gasket though.

Still sporting my ex gaskets since the rebuild on my truck. The trick is to tighten them after a few heat cycles.

What are "ex gaskets"?

Yeah, my limited reading here the past few months suggested ~50/50 split on gasket or no gasket. Hadn't read about anyone using gaskets and then regretting it, but will research further.

Thumbs up

You could always do a gasket on one manifold and no gasket on the other.

You could get these fancy tubular headers and let us know how well they work. They use a gasket.

Super tubular headers special order for Mister Khan

Then we'll really know if gaskets are worth it. It's really for science, how can you say no lol.

Don't threaten me with a good time! Though they are way overkill and pricey for my 160/0's and turbo sizing. If price wasn't a factor I would do it and go all out.

Though I'd do that over that tig aluminum dress up stuff you're looking at

I don't need anymore power in my heap. Between the fear of stuff breaking and the fact I have row my jalopy through the powerband I'm set for go fast parts. I read sonewhere that the fancy aluminum merbobs might dampen down the coffee can half full of bolts falling down an escalator sound coming from under the hood at highway speeds.

But how bout them compounds
