Nice to see the love people have for Melling. I’m a Quality Engineer at our plant in Jackson, MI where we manufacture the pumps. Melling definitely knows what they’re doing when it comes to oil pumps! Everyone is tested prior to shipping. Strict quality controls and gaging.

That makes me feel better about ordering new valve spring keepers from them! A melling pump will eventually find its way onto my engine.

EDIT: I stand corrected. For some reason Melling decided to drop ship my keepers to CA and not CO, so they won't be here until after the 4th. Going to reuse my old spring keepers and return the Melling ones.

As for a steering gear, if you are not decided yet, check out BlueTop.

Either way, use UPS Simple Rate shipping to send the core back at 50% the cost.

Well dropped down to 50 psi yesterday after work. 65 psi front and 75 psi rear. Handles much better now!

Haha I tried! Ended up getting welding rod stuck in my engine.....

Got caught in the bowl of the piston and bent at TDC I think. Got it out no issues, so now I'm waiting on inj o rings to show up so I can use the injector hole like literally everyone else thats done this upgrade..

Problem with the GP hole is you can hit the top of the piston or the bowl, which leads to inconsistent readings

Well I’m glad you were able to get it out! Would have sucked to have to pull everything apart to get to that

Hey now, it still gets me to work every day. But this winter I hope there are either lots of parts for sale, or a complete motor for sale if you need some parts lol
