Learned a valuable lesson yesterday. Double clamped lines aren't always the end all be all. Lost about 15 gallons of gas on the way to work on front tank.
Strangely enough this has been on and fine for over a year. Maybe all the washboard roads did it?
Any chance the metal wasn’t completely clean so it didn’t have a good bite? I had something similar happen in the valley of mine several years ago. I cleaned it and reinstalled it without any further issues.
If if you want some insurance you could solder a ferrel onto the line

It's possible. I wiped it clean and went smaller on the clamps so it should hold it better. I plan on moving some stuff around and running soft line up to the engine so it should take care of all the clamping issues. Just baffled that of all things slipped loose when it has been fine for so long. Definitely going to check all the other fittings this weekend now
Still temp fixed for now. Planning on pulling it apart tomorrow and remounting the fuel pump and fixing this line and getting rid of the metal line altogether.
Nice build thread, I've read the whole thing over the past few days here at work lol.
Appreciate it man! Since I started a new job in November I hardly drive it. I think I've put 500 miles on it since then, which is fine with the price of diesel now....

Tell me about it,
Takes close to $200 or more to fill Mierda Blanca
and $300 for the OBS lol.
but I sure get a kick of the decals put on by real Americans all over the pumps mocking a certain potato.

I am nearing needing to fill up both my tanks. At 57 gallons that is about 260 here at 4.50 a gallon. Yikes!
