If it comes down to that I will take you up on that offer. I would like to post captions for each photo. I’ve tried posting just one photo with no caption and it still wipes it out and takes me to the top of the page after clicking “Upload”. Maybe StewartH can help.
I was inspecting oil galleys in the lifter bores and saw something sticking up on the upper inside of one. I got my little magnet and pick and got it off. It was a metal burr. I found 4 more and picked them out with the magnet in the hole then made a tiny vacuum fitting to suck out each galley to make sure nothing fell into the cavity below. Master machinist Jeff said as long as I got them with my magnet and the lifters went in easily I’m good so I rolled on. Everything went in smoothly.
I scored a Mishimoto power steering fluid cooler for $50 off because the box was damaged. I’m completing the upgraded steering system with this and braided lines from the steering gear and return line to the reservoir. It’s 2x3x12” so it is actually larger than the stock cooler and looks nice.
Power steering hose and fitting kit from Sweeting’s Banjo ends Looks the same size to me, Matt said he stands behind his product and if I don’t notice better steering and brakes I can send it back...we shall see. Had to get him to send the proper fitting for the power steering pump because this one had to be tightened up before the pulley was pressed on and almost hits with about 1/16” more to go to get the pulley completely pressed on...he’s sending an alternative fitting. I was not impressed and told him what I thought about this product. Rebuilt hydroboost and cleaned up master cylinder in.
do you srew the head studs into the block until they sit on the block thread ground, or do you turn them back 1/2 turn?
if you want to hear my honest answer: I don't think you'll notice any change on the brakes. I'll rework my calipers next month, the Z36 pads are already here.

I have always followed the ARP installation instructions and seated the studs finger tight and torque to 225 ft/lbs instead of 210 for the little extra clamping force.
If there is no gain noticed with the hose and fitting upgrade they are going back and I will make my own.
