I never knew these trucks had a license plate light. I have driven 5 or 6 of them since 1984 and none of the trucks ever had a work plate light! Thats funny! Had to refurbish this little critter after I found it tucked up behind the rear valence rusty and in bad repair...
I don’t fully appreciate the square footage of my truck unless I have sanded every square inch of it several times! Got er in primer so wetsand every square inch again ahead.
I still have lots of stuff to do yet. This is the last big piece except reworking the drivers door damage.
bed blocks
install bed & taillights
tail light rewiring
Trailer plug wiring
front bumper paint & install
hole in rear bumper for trailer plug
rear bumper paint & install
tire winch crank
door seals & handles
mirrors
bedliner
headliner
etc but your right. Landing this project soon!

So, one more day, for you. Five years if it was me.
So I’m glad I thought through the order of operations today. Push comes to shove I would rather have blue on the black vs black on my finished blue. At this point any black overspray can be sanded off when I finish sand the primer.
I take solace in the fact this is a big piece almost ready for color! Im guessing it looks the same in pictures but hours of sanding actually occurred between these pics and the last
Whenever I am at a show, that is the first thing I think of... all the hours and hours of back breaking work someone put into that car/truck to make it the way it is... everyone sees the shiny chrome, but most probably don’t know how much it took to get there.
