Disable ad blocker and popup blockers. Try a different browser. Just throwing out ideas. I had a similar problem in Chrome (very tight security enabled) and I think I switched to Internet Explorer (almost no security enabled).
Thank you, that did the trick. Switched over from Firefox to Chrome.
Anyone get an Error Code:LST_ERROR5 ? How to fix this?
I'm on SYNC 3 vers 2.2
Downloaded JR3T-14G381-AL
USB Stick directory shows:
auto install.lst
SyncMyRide folder - in this folder is 8 files.
DONTINDX.MSA
Thanks for any tips to help get this to update.
The reason i`m asking this is because of how you have the files listed above in your posting.
If you loaded them onto your USB stick in the same order on your posting, there`s a good chance that this is why you`re getting the error code. The files must be loaded onto the USB stick in the exact order they were downloaded form the Ford Owner website onto your desktop.
When I updated, the SyncMyRide folder was last not second in the download onto my desktop.
If this doesn`t work, you may have a bad USB stick, it`s not clear of other files or it`s corrupted.
File access on a USB drive (or any other drive) is not positional. The order in which you "see" the files on the drive doesn't matter.
On the 2.1 update, I didn`t load the files in the order the were presented on my desktop and I received the same error code he mentioned. When I spoke with the people at SYNC about the error code, they walked me through the process again and they specifically told me to load/drag the files into the USB stick in the same order as they were downloaded on my desktop, which I didn`t do the first time, and the update went off without another error code and I followed the same procedure for 2.3 and 3.0 error free.
Also mine reverts to FM on start up every time, so you can add me to the list for that as well.
Add me to the list. I also noticed the dash screen reverts back to the ‘towing info ’ screen every time. Can’t imagine they are related but both items started when I did the update.
My radio reverts to FM every time I start the truck too. As far as I can tell there was no reason to upgrade from 2.3 to 3.0 and I wish I hadn't. Is there any way to file a bug report with Ford on the FM issue?
My system seems to be ok after the update. Took about 22 minutes.
However, when the truck starts up, I always have it going to the home screen. And now the navigation just says "Loading Maps". I have to switch to any other screen, then go home before the maps will load.
