There is a new setting under settings, mobile apps to enable apps via usb. Also waze will still habe to go thru the phone as it need the cell service to update traffic etc.

I am trying to get onto the official release so that I am no longer on the unofficial 3.0 update. I have some slowness with it that occurs when changing volume/temp and some minor bugs I hope would be fixed.

Mine reverts to FM on startup. I usually play music from a thumb drive and when I restart, it’s back on FM.

Interesting! I have the Alexa app on my iPhone and have it all tied into my smart-house, behind firewalls. Any idea what SYNC does with the Alexa app or how it all integrates?

I have Alexa (echo) at home and I use it more than Google Home. It blew my mom away that I could call her using my Alexa.

i have noticed since the update, my remote start through Remote Access does not work. Any ideas?

I updated to version 3.0 Tuesday afternoon. Since then I have had a few annoying glitches. When I turned by truck off this morning at work, it was connected to the internet and a very short popup at the top of the screen said downloading software update??? Is there already an update to syn 3 version 3.0? Has anyone else seen this? I did my original update via USB.

hmm..i'll have to go look again. I did not see Alexa listed in my apps and i clicked update trying to get waze to show.

I just updated mine, and noticed two differences from the last update:
I monitor synch's performance and report any odd behavior.
- Heated Steering Wheel icon on home screen (can scratch that off my Forescan 'to-do' list)
- The update automatically confirmed with Ford; last time I had to upload an xml file back to synchmyride to confirm.
- I guess the wifi connection to my house sent the file after the update completed.
I monitor synch's performance and report any odd behavior.
