Survived even with a few tourist trying to take me out.
Still don't understand why people in little cars think they will win when the pull out in front of a box truck ( empty 12,000lbs Loaded 18,000lbs).

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Still didn't quite get everything done today. Still have to make a trip to Newberg Steel and Fab tomorrow, and then pickup #1 sons birthday cake and his daughter. It would appear that Devils Lake boating and birthday party is on for Saturday.

We're having the wood shakes removed, and putting on class 4 impact resistant asphalt shingles. Since our covenant only allows one kind of asphalt shingles ( of course, the most expensive ones they sell), we didn't have a lot of choice. I won't miss the wood shakes, I was always finding bits and pieces of them in the yard.

The old wood shakes are great kindling.
Like everything anymore roofs are pricey. I had to do our after a windstorm about 15 years back, went with the locking metal roof system and it's been great.
