Morning all. Back in the office after a few days in Cascade Locks/Skamainia for a work conference. Took the trailer over and "camped" at the KOA. Kinda liking this RV thing for work.
Hey gents! Hope everyone is well. Wife and I are in the process of buying a house. And as always im fooling around with the truck...
Hey, would anyone happen to know what to look under for Heat, A/C vacuum lines? In rock auto?
My blower will only go through the defrost vents and I have been told its a vacuum line issue or something to do with that.
Not sure what to tell you on that...only 3 problems I've had with the heater/AC has been a leaky heater core and a bad fan. #3 was a connector wire / cable on the temperature adjustment lever that had disconnected from the lever. Before I worried about Rock Auto or bought anything I would physically check and see if I could find exactly what and where the problem is located at.

well, I do believe I have found it, now its just a matter of figuring out the correct replacement hose.

The vacuum lines are 1/8" hard plastic lines....they become brittle with age and can break easily...it should run an actuator on top of the heater A/C housing. There is a small vacuum reservoir on the side of the housing....should be a check valve in the line somewhere near there. There is another line going into the cab that can be accessed inside the cab by removing the plastic cover on the passenger side. All can be purchased at most auto parts stores....very inexpensive.

so I should be able to plug and play with a new length of 1/8” hard plastic line? Or do i need one with a check valve?
