Belated good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Late night. Went and picked up one of the granddaughters tonight. Dinner out and now we are at home. My granddaughter is edge e cating me on modern entertainment. I'm stuck watching Peter Rabbit. (And being yelled at to get off the computer.) I think it must be past her bedtime. I have also come to the conclusion that I am getting too OLD for the 'grandpa' business. Zoo tomorrow...

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 48.6 with a heavy overcast. Getting everyone rounded up for the Zoo. The crowd is growing! #1 son and granddaughter, #2 sons 'ex' and 3 granddaughters, #1 son, grandma and myself....
Good soggy, noisy morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 52.2, overcast, wet, rain and had quite the Thunder and Lightening show today. One blast seemed like it was going to take the roof off and nearly rattled the pictures off the wall. Seems like the Thunder and Lightening has calmed down for now. It was a rude awakening at 0430.
Zoo trip yesterday was good. Some of the granddaughters woke up sick yesterday and were too busy making offering to the gods at the porcelain alter to go with us. Ended up with just one granddaughter out of the four that went. When we got there, we had to go to overflow parking a mile away from the Zoo. We missed the sign that said the last shuttle left the zoo at 1700. When we came out of the zoo around 1730 my son and I had to walk a mile to get the car and then come back and pickup the Warden and my granddaughter.
For the most part the animals were out and pretty active. The cats were pretty content with being lazy and stretching out in the sun.
