Morning Pat, and all to follow. Great weekend for out door work, I got a lot done. Need to make a call to Chucky (local butcher) to come take care of a bull for me. He caught me in the field and lifted me about 2 feet. I had a good grip on the horns and got out okay. But freezer is getting a little low on meat and he's getting a little to aggressive.
Morning Pat, Andy and those to follow.
A new week begins and it should be busy with the lead up to Memorial day weekend.
More meat in the freezer is good.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Nice looking tool box Chris. But I might have to agree with Rene. Do you really need a boat trailer to haul a tool box?
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 45.6 with clear blue sky. Getting ready to take off. Several of us getting together at Tommy's Restaurant this morning for breakfast. After that we are going to spend a couple of hours mowing the grass and spraying weeds at the range. We also have a bunch of material for the new prone position construction being delivered. After that we are going to spend some time making some lead deposits.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Finished our "work day" at the range and then some of us stuck around to shoot. Had one of our brand new members show up so I gave some shooting lessons. His Rifle was way out so we worked on his zero. Got him out of the dirt and into the bulls-eye. Worked with a couple of pistol shooters as well.
Then I got my S&W M&P 10 out and took a cold tube single shot with the "good stuff" in the chamber. Seemed mighty fine to me...
Evan, spent some time shooting some 7.62 / .308 Russian 165 Grn SP TulAmmo. No problems with it. The Smith ate it up and ejected it just fine. The pattern opened up a bit and seems to shoot about a 1/2 inch to the right and 1/2 inch low from the 165 reloads or the XM80C 149 Federal. Wouldn't use it in a match, but seem just fine for low cost plinking and target shooting. Probably be just fine for varmint hunting as well.
