Belated good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Late night tonight. Had to go to town and get some weed eater line and a couple of other things at Lowe's, dinner at IHOP then a Board of Directors meeting followed by stops at WinCo and Wally World. I was beginning to think we were never going to make it home.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started the day out at 37 and we are now at 47 and climbing under bright blue skies and sunshine.

Yep, if I get on it to pass or get out in traffic the idle hangs at 1600rpm. Some times snapping the throttle will get it to about 900rpm. When i get home pop the hood and push on the throttle lever I can get the idle down to 700rpm.

Morning Pat and those to follow.
Yaa I need to pull the intake ducting to get better access, the cables feel smooth. I had problems with the throttle blade sticking it caused the gas pedal to feel like a brick had to stomp the pedal to get things moving.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Started out sunny and 43 and now we are up to 46.5, clear and sunny.
Chris, I had a similar problem on my 87. Ended up cleaning the linkage with carb cleaner and then fluid filming everything including getting some fluid film down the cable under the sleeve. Also ended up having to replace the spring.
