Happy New Year. I hardly slept. First I just couldn’t get to sleep, then loud fireworks were freaking out one of the dogs so he kept pacing around the wood floors constantly.
Belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. We've made it up to 38.8 under blue skies which is better than the 28 we were at earlier.
Had some idiot a little ways from us out firing off a shotgun. The S.O. shut him down. Not sure what went on, but the 3rd or 4th shot, a car alarm started going off. Maybe he shot a car. Lots of fireworks and M80's but they were some distance away from us.
Had to get up early this morning on "East Coast time" so I could make reservations for at Diamond Lake. We don't have to reserve, lots of first come first served sites, but they have made the 'C' Loop a reserved camp site loop and our favorite campsite is in that loop. We haven't been able to stay in it for the last 3 years, so I thought for grins, kicks and giggles, I would mark the calendar and set an alarm for the earliest possible minute of the reservation window. Made it and got the reservation, but we will have to go 3 or 4 days later than we usually like to. Knowing we have a good campsite available for us will make the arrival time not a problem.
Roy, if Heidi looked any happier, you would have a mess on the floor to clean up! You just can't beat the expression dog's can get on their faces!
