Good frosty, foggy, soggy morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 28.1 and low visibility at the moment.
Guess we need to start looking at what it is going to take to re-plumb the bathtub. Minimal water flow, while everything else has good flow. Seems to be just the feed to the bathtub only. Put new valves in last night, but it didn't help. Old ones were in pretty bad shape, but obviously no the problem.

This could get interesting.
Wife has been complaining about very little pressure on the hot water side of the laundry tub. I discovered a ball of lead was lodged in the tube leading to the faucet..lots of pressure now..
I'm thinking there is a problem with the diverter in the cross over valve set up. Started out when you shut the shower off, the shower would shut down, but water didn't return in any volume to the tub spout for a second or two. Then you would hear a clunk and the water would start to flow normal. This applies to both hot and cold water. Hot and cold water everyplace else in the house is just fine.
Now, instead of doing that, we only have about 5% normal flow out of the tub spout and we can't even get enough pressure to divert to the shower. Yesterday, it took 30+ minutes to run enough water for a bath.
Got the wall 'removed' so I can get to the plumbing and got the spout removed. Can't fit my fat head in where I need to go to see up inside the cross over valve, but I was able to take a picture. Looks like a plastic piece is out of place and jammed up.
Just got back from Lowe's and picked up a new valve body. Seems to be a major difference in the way that plastic diverter valve in there looks. So, I'll try to get that put on and see what difference it makes. The retired plumber running the plumbing section at Lowe's is betting that is the problem.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Got the new main valve body in, everything reconnected, turned the water on, then turned the water off, tightened a couple of connection a little more than what they were, turned the water back on and we are in business. So much pressure to the massage shower head that it is like a water hammer.
The only thing that really worried me was after I got it in and turned on, the cold water would not shut off. I just a little perturbed thinking I was going to have that valve body out and take it back. Dissected the Cold water valve and discovered it had been inserted in the valve body incorrectly at the factory. Rotated it 180°, put it back together and it works like a charm.
