I've got 2,000 transplants 2+2 and 3+2 ordered for next spring (1 1/2 acres to fill in out of 9), then a year to re-establish feet before they start movin' on up. Those need 6 years.
If growing is OK, I'm OK. One or two poor growing seasons, I'm not.
Our critter was horizontal, and that's a modern motor compared to the one it had. I believe the compressor came from Detroit in the early '50s to Mahwah, then down to South Jersey in the early 60's.
Yes, Happy New Year! Got my vintage compressor temporarily hooked up after cleaning crankcase out and tightening up and inspecting things (looked pretty nice inside), new oil, air filter, etc. Put the heat to it and it performs at or above the Saylor-Beall factory specs for a new pump...! Will be plenty of air for me...
Now back to our regularly un-scheduled topic switch...
ive got my new waterpump from BPD... day late and fighting with FEDEX over the fact my part wasnt delivered when they SAID it was... Day it was supposed to be delivered i was watching the tracker.. all day said it was out for delivery.. truck never showed up... 8pm when they stop home delivery's the tracker said "Pending deliver day to be determined".. i get up the next day and it says it was delivered the day before at 2pm.. "delivered on time the day it was supposed to be".. when i called them about it i got attitude about how it showed it was delivered and they were "too busy" to investigate it... that i had to wait 2 days to file anything.. then they wanted claimed maybe one of my neighbors had it that it was delivered wrong... none of my neighbors had it.. theres only 10 houses on my street..
I called BPD and John in their shipping department there and explained what was going on... (he wasnt amused by the 48 hr wait to file a claim thing either) He prepped to ship me another right away while they looked into where the first one actually went... he said they were also going to talk with their rep with Fedex for future events like that... about 3 hrs later after talking with John a FED EX TRUCK showed up to deliver my waterpump... I called John back and told him the original finally showed up so they didnt need to send the 2nd one... This is why i like buying from BPD... they put their customers first instead of $$$... i even told him thats why i love to shop with them because of their great customer service..
unfortunately when the waterpump did finally show up i was already starting to feel sick... and for the last 5 days ive felt to crappy to work on it... todays the first time i can actually stand up and not feel like im on a ship trying to sail through 60 foot seas and can tolerate light more and more... unfortunately the headache, temperature, cough are still around but have been joined by sore ribs (caused by the coughing) and cant talk now either (also from the cough)...
Well at least you got it.
We have a house near by that has the same house
number on a different street and it what ever service
drops a package off there it gone for good.
I have lost a few things to that place. I think the latest
was a $3200 instrument. FedEx dropped that one without
a signature. Guess who gets to pay for that one.
Sure as hell not me.
At least now I know how I'm going to die. After a few minutes of getting my senses back the wife called down and asked what that was. I told her I fell down the stairs. She says OK.
No response for like 5 minutes. Then I hear, "Did you say you've fallen?".

Your typing so you can't be too hurt.
But really your ok?? Right?
Every area likely has its own best delivery option... Ours without a doubt is UPS as far and away #1 - if our gate is open, they come to the front door (1/4 mile long driveway) - one time someone was leaving down the driveway and the UPS driver backed ALL the way down to the street to let her out, then came up and delivered... USPS is a distant 2nd, but mostly because whenever our main delivery person is off, the stand-in gal is just plain LAZY! She'll write that the item was too heavy or gate was closed (when neither were true) - but they do get cred's with the Sunday Amazon deliveries, as they come out of the main PO in Auburn, and rain sleet or snow that guy gets it up here!
Fedex is horrible for us and always has been -- way too many stories of lies they tell or deliveries they say they made and didn't. HQ told me our profile said to leave everything at gate, which they did even if the gate was open with a sign saying "FedEx, Deliver to House" and an Arrow for those less competent drivers, that pointed the way... Grrrrrrr.... And who the H^ll set up a profile for us????!
'nuff, back to a happy new years eve - just me 'n the wife, and she's been busy in the kitchen whipping up something special, yum!
Swollen right knee for a few days, wrist and shoulder complained. We have half stairs, and it was half of that. Winter insulation fat probably helped.
Les went down in a parking lot almost a year ago and is still hurting, so I'm good.
Well, crap! Jack -- when does it end...?! I'm not sure my wife would come check either... HEY! I forgot to put up a picture of my new "old boy" (proud papa here):
Now that's a bummer, won't show the pic, even though it said it was uploaded... Maybe there will be 4 pictures tomorrow (same ones)....!
Well at least you got it.

old house we had that problem... 2 streets similarly named one ending in COURT the other ending in DRIVE... court the house numbers started with 12... drive started with 13.. and you had to come down drive to get to court... the house on drive was the exact opposite of ours... and frequently they drop our packages there... theyd deliver to 1312 instead of 1213... very annoying... nice thing was those neighbors would bring the boxes around... we never got any of theirs...
