That was my first thought. If you have the adaptive steering it needs to know where it is in the suspension cycle to know how much effort to put in. Its got to be the reason some guys have super twitchy steering and others are rock solid.
I like the KISS principle. I don't want a computer playing with my feeling with the road.
I have adaptive steering with an ICON 2.5 spring level and do not feel nothing different in my steering what so ever... Feels just like the day i drove it off the lot..

I wonder if there's a range that the adaptive steering is calibrated to, some are pushed outside a threshold and others arent? Just conjecture at this point anyways...
I'm not sure if this is being considered leveling a truck but all I did was lower the back-end by 1.5 inches. It's not perfectly leveled but it made it much easier to get into the bed using the built-in tailgate steps. This process only requires replacing the rear leaf spring spacers with spacers for a 2016 model Super Duty. Don't need my truck in the clouds and certainly didn't need to spend that much money on a lift kit.
The picture below is borrowed from another member here but is exactly the same truck that I have.
This is the look I am going for. Does the 2016 spacer fit without any modification? I was wondering if I could just get a 2017 2wd spacer to work.
My other concern with this is with towing if the nose would be pointed in the sky. Thanks in advance, good looking setup for the truck.
So the dealership refused to do anything because they did not install the eveling kit. Wouldn't even align the truck to what BDS wanted. However the reason I was given is because they didn't feel it would change anything in terms of my issues and couldn't take my money for something they couldn't guarantee would fix my problem. I appreciated the honesty and had them change the oil while it was in the shop and I was driving their loaner. So I'm back at aqua re one trying to see who can maybe calibrate the steering sensor and see if that makes a difference and them I may mess with the alignment.
I have adaptive steering and the Icon 2.5 level and my steering is all over the place also. I am having a dual steering stabilizer installed this week. According to the shop that installed my leveling kit the stabilizer should fix my problem. I will report back with my findings.

from my understanding.......the 2016 1.5-2" rear lift block is perfect fit.
I couldn't tell you anything about the 2wd blocks. I hardly see any newer 2wd trucks. Most of the 2wd's I see on the road are around the 2002ish generation.
SIDE NOTE.......I got my alignment done today. My alignment was pretty much to spec with the carli caster shims, carli 2.5" springs and ready lift trac bar bracket. They barely did any tweaking. And I feel like they only tweaked it so they didn't feel like they were charging me for nothing LOL.

Whats interesting is that you don't hear this compliant on trucks that are lifted 4"-6".. Don't have the answer but think i'll ask Ford when they do the oil change if they know anything about calibrating the steering.. Haven't seen anything in the owners manual on this subject..
NOTE: There is a thread on here that has many folks having issues with Adaptive steering.. Some are running 37's on stock wheels which in my opinion is not a wide enough wheel.. Granted i'm still running stock wheels/tires until my American Forces come in but i'm not going any larger than 35's..If i start to develop sloppy steering then i'll pay Ford to re-calibrate..

Did you use a track bar bracket or go with ICON's adjustable track bar ?
I dropped mine using the 2016 blocks on the rear, they measured 1.75 , the ones one the truck were 3.25 so I gained 1.5 inches toward being level. Fri I am installing a 2 inch coil spacer and that should put me dead level. I'm gonna go with the 305, Dura grapplers on the stock rims. If I knew how to post pics I would
I like that color and wheels except the silver bits. What wheels are they? Are you in the middle of "dechroming" right now?
Method NV 305 wheels. The bolts are yellowish/zinc colored. I'm probably gonna get them powdercoated grey. And yes.....the plastics are being painted right now. Too much chrome on these trucks.
