I got them because they look cool and give a little more tire clearance. I also didn't need resi shocks but I think they look cool lol. I plan on a 6" bds lift in about 3 years.
2.5" you really don't need Radius Arms. You only need 1 degree of caster added to get back to factory. Installing a whole radius arm for 1 degree of caster is a little bit of a waste. 4.5" or 6" lifts need quite a bit more. More than you can correct with a simple caster cam. So they either lower the factory RA's with a bracket, or they supply new arms that are longer and angle the front back to factory specs.
Not really a pro or con to either. Some of them are quite stout, and offer some advantages, like the Carli RA's have a notch in them so you don't rub on 37's. They are fully boxed and quite a bit stronger than the stockers. They are also $1400... you get what you pay for I guess. But a RA really isn't needed at all for a 2.5" lift. IMO at least.
thanks. I'm just planning on a 2.5" up front and an add a pack out back (for an inch Ive read?) I do a lot of towing and don't want the truck to sag or lose any capacity.
i was just looking at fuel dually wheels yesterday and was wondering about the "gap."
is the gap built into the wheels?
yes the gap is built in. They have three versions. I have the 2.5” gap which is the minimum. My truck is about 101 wide which would mean they stick out about 2.5” but doesn’t seem that much. I used Ford width of 95.9”. My axle isn’t exact centered so lil more on 1 side and less on other. I love the look!
Seems like the majority goes with the Carli kit and does Fox shocks. Ive always used ready lift because it was half the price. Are the Carli springs softer of a ride? Are they different for gas Vs. Diesel? Id like some more info if anyone chimes in. Why the Fox shocks? Are they aluminum body or just painted steel?

they also look badass. I'm sure by upgrading to heims and real bushings they reduce any deflection and don't bind up like traditional injection molded bushings. Probably nothing you could really notice though. The badass factor is enough for me as a justification lol. I want the Lewis Built arms.
WOW, $1700 for a commuter kit. That's a lot more than a ready lift 2.5" kit
I've got about $1400 into my 2.5" rancho spring kit with radius arms and fox reservoir shocks. Rides like a dream. I am still running the fx4 rear shocks and can tell the difference. Fox rear shocks are on the short list now.
