Fuel dump error codes come and goes depending on on city / highway driving , after refueling (with truck off ) floods a bit . Is this due to me pushing her or am i just looking at a overdue fuel system replacement? I will never forget this truck.
Try buying 4 cans of this "Berryman B-12 Chemtool® Carburetor, Fuel System and Injector Cleaner (15 fl. Oz.)" and use two of them on a full tank and use until they're all gone. See if that clears up your problem.
Using top tier fuel may help afterwards if you aren't currently doing so.
I run on 87 octane atm , So i should fill up with 91 octanne , apply "Berryman B-12 Chemtool® Carburetor, Fuel System and Injector Cleaner (15 fl. Oz.)" x2 and new purge valve . And just keep working her.
stick to 87 octane, and forget about the fuel system cleaner for now. ...just replace the purge valve for now and you will be amazed at how much better it runs.
besides the engine starting rite up all the time now, i also gained 2 MPG.
I have 0.00% starting issues, even cold starts when i forget to plug the engine block heater . By the time i clear the snow she is ready to go , i am trying to make my " 6.2 v8 " as fuel efficient as she can be, I am getting Crushed on fuel, resulting in me having to increase my costs for basic jobs when i price customers , that is money that should be in my pocket. Also thank you for the input .
New purge valve, cleared codes . No more quifffing sounds from the gas fill port, no vacuum action on my fuel tank, almost 30% increases in fuel efficiency , when towing i can not longer watch my gas needle go down as i go up hill. Thank you.
