It runs strong. No blowby. It does use a little oil, one qt., especially if I wait till 7000 mi. to change the oil. No oil loss at 5000 mi. intervals. Use Mobil 1 extended performance oil and mc filters.

Ed, I love when you post in this thread! What's your future plans with the truck. Your obviously going to hit 400k very soon. Do you have any plans of retiring the truck, or are you going to run it til it dies? I'd love to see you hit 500k.

I plan on keeping the truck to save money. it's nice not to have a truck note. when the tranny goes it'll get repaired or replaced same for the motor at least that's what the plan is. I saw an article today about a guy who owns a Toyota Tundra pickup who hit 1 million miles.he is also a hotshot driver like me the more you drive these vehicles the more money you put in your pocket whether it's paid for or not

Been waiting for this post Ed. If you find time, can you list your few problems you've had. I've already showed the picture off to a couple of my Chevy lovin coworkers. Heck, they can't make it to 100k before their intake has to come off.

Keep up the great work... you and the truck

I love the fact, I did make the right choice.. and my research was valid..

I worked my whole life working for the other guy... I was not going to purchase a truck from them when I retired.

I wanted a truck to tow,, and not need me wrenching on it. (much)

The 6.2 is rock solid. We get rid of them between 250K-300K.Just plain old oil changes and that is all.

thanks for posting this Ron I always wondered what if I had gotten the GM HD gasser motor 6.0. I thought it might have a slight edge in durability due to its older pushrod design albeit at the expense of a little HP and torque.

I just bought a used 2011 F350 6.2 L 4x4 155,000 km on it, and I am just wondering if any of you guys have noticed a "hard" shift into maybe 3rd or 4th, my father has driven many of these fords and said that many of them do the same, just wondering if I should be worried or if you guys notice that too

I just picked her up today so she will be getting a full fluid replacement
