6.2L longevity
135k is nothing if regular maintenance was performed. There is a guy on here. "Flatbed Ed" He has over 375k miles. These motors are very reliable. I have almost 24k without a single issue. Lots of guys with over 100k with no major problems. Depends if you maintain them. Change oil and other fluids when your supposed too and you'll be fine. Check on service records before buying your truck. Good luck!
check the running and idle hours.. and then do the math..
records are a big key .. to history. and care.
I just did a 1,800 mile trip.. 1.500 pounds in bed of truck and pulling a 9,000 pound 12 foot tall trailer.... used Zero fluids.. and my truck has 150,000 miles...
no leaks, no problems. and did that trip in 4 days and 85 plus degrees temperature.
I purchased this truck last year with 135,000 miles, it had 4,100 running and 600 idle hours.

The 6.2L is a really great motor. The tranny has a good reputation as well.
IMHO...if service was performed, then I'd have no issues buying one with 150k on the ticker!!
I still have a special place for my loved V10, but...the 6.2L has been flawless to date.

Now thats an endorsement !! The 6.2 is probably one of the most bulletproof engine & trans combos out there in terms of reliability.

182,000 miles, no issues since I've owned it (about 20k miles).
I've done differential, transfer case and transmission fluid changes, new plugs, regular M1 high mileage oil changes, new battery.. all just maintenance items and honestly the truck ran great when I bought it and it still does. It was driven off-road/service roads its whole life and the steering is still tight. Really is a work horse.

If the rest of the truck is in good shape it was probably pretty well taken care of. I just traded in my 11 with 105k on it with no real engine or tranny issues that I can think of. It was a work Truck and I beat it pretty hard plowing and towing, but serviced it religiously.
Did not hesitate to buy a 16 6.2 at all. It really is a solid engine

our company trucks are all F-250, 6.2 and all are driven by multiple drivers daily and ran hard. We maintain as best we can but oil changes often exceed the mileage recommendations. We usually trade them off around 250k and to date we have not had any real major problems. In 2013 I needed a new 3/4 ton for myself and I went with the 6.2, now with 75k and no problems. Mine sees a lot of trailer pulling time, the heaviest being 13k on average. No complaints here. I dont think the mileage would be an issue for me if it has a decent maintenance record
