I suffer the give them another week syndrome. Written correspondence with Dearborn, MI customer care back in September promised help. Weekly calls from customer care after that gave progress reports, except there was never any real progress. Three case files regarding my complaints have done nothing. Last week after sitting in Louisville for 2 weeks Ford finally agreed to put a priority on shipping. Now it sits 70 miles away for 3 days waiting for a full truck.
Yes I almost cancelled and started over. Yes I sat in the Fiat dealer's chair until I had to go outside and puke after seeing their offerings. 50 years with Ford and I almost walked away but I recognize the quality of the truck and I believe wholly that Ford does not care about the individual anymore, only the sales numbers for the stockholders. The philosophy of Henry Ford has been displaced by a bunch of greedy number crunchers who know they have a desirable product, so keep on putting out the trucks and damn the individuals whose orders fall by the wayside. Who needs them anyway?
right there with ya....4-30-16 order date....heading to the local fiat dealer this Friday AM

Hey Rob, I'll say my dealer was terrific...but they did have to put a boot into the transport company's ****, my truck was on the ground 9 days when the GM called them and "made it happen". That full truck ****e is just that...in your case anyway. Better come with a steak dinner and a trip to the pistol range. Unreal man, unreal.
Salesman called today, got another ETA of 12/22. Sez truck is waiting to ship.
No, the truck is not waiting to ship. Someone is waiting to ship the truck! For anyone of two hundred seventy three reasons someone is keeping it where it is. I am sure, if the truck had a say, it would drive itself directly to your house where it felt wanted and loved. To the rest of the world they are just big chunks of metal and rubber representing having to actually do some work to get it where it belongs.

Rasalas,
have your dealer call there ford rep. It would appear that a bunch of trucks have a "stop-ship", mine included. This delay as I'm told now has nothing to do with the bed liners.
Will know more later today, but as of yesterday I was told I wont ever see the truck I originally ordered.

The truck is being moved today to the dealer. The transport co, Jack Cooper, only treats "priority" as having to meet the ETA, which has been 12DEC for almost 2 weeks now. So they just let it sit for 2 weeks in Buffalo and wait for the last minute to get it over here. This is known in today's world as "Good Customer Service."

Please provide more details to the "stop-ship" and what is your current ETA?
so my original order was 4-30-16 truck was build 10-18-16...this week Ford is now waiting on a new motor (Diesel, no specifics as to what is wrong with the one in it) to be installed in the truck (never was the bed liner). Original ETA was OCT 28th. No further ETA...
My best case scenario is a late winter delivery now...
Will be doing a new order...no idea what will happen to the original truck.
