Rob's didn't have a bedliner and is just landing at his dealer today. Order date, April 19th...
Well technically..........His truck isn't there yet!! Sorry Rob.
Like I said before. It just seems odd that a bedliner delay was the real issue when trucks are being shipped with it. I hope is something as simple as a bedliner. But if it isn't would Ford ever tell us anyway?
The truck is being moved today to the dealer. The transport co, Jack Cooper, only treats "priority" as having to meet the ETA, which has been 12DEC for almost 2 weeks now. So they just let it sit for 2 weeks in Buffalo and wait for the last minute to get it over here. This is known in today's world as "Good Customer Service."
This explains why my truck still isn't at the dealer, even though the train with my truck arrived at the unloading zone over a week ago. The truck is currently sitting 40 miles from away but my ETA is 12/21. This is some of the worst management I've ever been around, and I work in the construction industry with a lot of incompetent people. I've been talking with customer service and it's like talking to a wall. Maybe ford could reduce their costs if they had more lean processes. I look at my wife's new 4-runner that was ordered, built in a foreign country, transported, and in our garage 7 weeks later.

WELL it' official!. Truck not making it to the dealer today. Maybe sometime over the weekend or the first of the week. This is actually getting humorous that so many would be politicians are working at Ford and Jack Cooper Transportation. Time for some Kentrucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
so my original order was 4-30-16 truck was build 10-18-16...this week Ford is now waiting on a new motor (Diesel, no specifics as to what is wrong with the one in it) to be installed in the truck (never was the bed liner). Original ETA was OCT 28th. No further ETA...
My best case scenario is a late winter delivery now...
Will be doing a new order...no idea what will happen to the original truck.
I have the worst luck
My truck arrived with 50-ish miles on it. The sales guy said it was pulled for testing. I asked for the tag Ford puts on those trucks but he said the detail kid tossed it in a greasy dumpster so he wasn't going after it. But it gives me some assurance that Ford puts trucks through the paces occasionally to find out if they're being built with the correct quality. In my case the truck passed, in yours they apparently caught a major problem and it is way better to have found it now rather than 2 months or worse 4 years from now when you're behind the wheel. It's best to look at the positive side. Sometimes it just feels like the universe is against you.
Dealer finally spoke to a personal friend at KTP yesterday. My truck (built on 11/4) is being held awaiting the application of the spray in bed liner. As of yesterday, all back ordered materials had been delivered, the back log of held trucks needing liners were already starting to move, and all are expected to be completed & shipped by Xmas.
So, I guess depending on how deep mine is buried in the parking lot, it's possible that I may not actually take delivery until sometime in January.
My truck is finally moving! Original ETA of 10 November, and now it looks like 15 December is the date they have finally updated to. It looks like they may be catching up to the back log finally.

Tag on mine yesterday read 24 miles testing. Then I added 15 miles testing. Oh what a great feeling. Just the first of hundred of test trips!
Hey BigStu, have you heard anything on your truck? My ETA went from 11/22 to 11/25, now 12/22, salesman sez on the ramp to ship, chat sez still in production. Grrrrrrr.

It will continue to read that way until transportation actual picks up the order and starts to schedule. I sat in production I think 12 days when I was being told it was on the ramp.
