OK. I'm going to follow-through and spray some cleaner into each connector and use deelectric grease. Not sure to go from there. If I have the wrong ECM after following the information Gary sent, how do I get the right one? The one I purchased has part number 78426 whcih covers #E5TF12A650SA, E5TF12A650SB, E5TZ12A650SA, E5TZ12A650SB.

Seems to me another guy last month ordered the same computer, and cannot perform the self-test.

I think your rainy day issue may be solved by cleaning and greasing all your connectors.
OK. All connectors are cleaned and greased including connectors to sensors. I also saw that there's a boot (drain) that empty's directly onto a plug connector that connects to the external fuel pump. Don't know if that was the issue regarding the pump issues, but I cleaned that connector and greased it up as well. Will have to wait until another rain (probable today) to see if the fuel pump/injector engagement issue has been cleared up. Or, I could just hose everything down again and test it out, which I'll likely do.
Seems you're leaning to the ECM as the problem with regard to pulling codes. Since the 85 second half of the year was the first EFI for the F150, would you recommend I search by the year 1986, or doesn't it matter?
Are you saying I could go with the E8TF-12A650-S1C? The one I recently ordered form RockAuto was in this range #E5TF12A650SA, E5TF12A650SB, E5TZ12A650SA, E5TZ12A650SB. I also have a C6 tranny. Does that enter into the equation?

UPDATE: E8TF 12A650-S1A, S2A.S, 1C, or S2C are for a 1988 Ranger, meaning a little truck, with a 6 cyl 177 cube engine. Not likely to work very well on yours.
