My VIN 75373 was bumped up to be built 10/30 {yes Sunday, they are working 7 days a week} it has spray in bed liner dealer said I should see it 10 days after that....
Mandatory overtime is coming to a close soon. The rumor mill hasn't released the time frame and the rank and file don't get the answers until the last minute. A lot of Sundays are fairly short still due to parts shortages. So they come build as few as 50 trucks some days then spend the rest of their show up hours sweeping, at double time. I wish there were a true window into production other than the hearsay from the rank and file.
any way to get an estimated build date other than the dealer?
I am sure they will give you an estimate but don't be surprised if it turns more into a guesstimate. Production will eventually smooth out but nothing I have seen shows anything resembling a reasonable and consistent schedule.
You enter in your order number, dealer number, and last name - all stuff on the order sheet. However, it did not work for me, and apparently does not work for many people. Some people say it eventually works but lags behind in time.
The web page doesn't work for me either. But my order was only picked up last week.
So a neat little twist in my truck delivery story. Mine and Plowjocky's trucks arrived in the rail car at the terminal in SLC yesterday but weren't offloaded until today. How do I know that you ask? Well, cool story. I called the trucking company that has the exclusive transportation contract with Union Pacific in SLC. How did I find that out you ask? Well google maps of course. I clicked on the Street View option and could see the name of the company on a metal sign on the gate leading into the the transport section of the rail yard. Then I googled the phone number of the company only to find out it's a national information line for the trucking company. So using my most confident voice I asked the nice lady to transfer me to the dispatch office in the Roper yard. Pause, pause, pause and she says, "Just a minute..." and I hear ring, ring and a guys answers the phone only by stating his first name. So I mumbled unintelligibly but pronounced FORD in there somewhere and asked him if he could give me an update on a VIN. He said sure and I gave him the last six and he told me it was "Ready" status meaning it is just waiting for assignment to a transport truck. His next question was awesome. He asked me if I wanted it fast to which I responded, "Yeah." He pushed a button and marked it hot and then a few seconds later he said he is loading a truck right now with space for one more. "Would you like me to get it to you tonight?" he asks, which I said, "Yes, please." And then, "Thank you."
So it's getting a ride north to Ogden as I write this. Tomorrow is the day!

Can you call KTP in your most confident voice and tell them to get my truck released? It's been built for 10 days now but no release.

And if I were an American I would vote for you for sure!
Freaking hilarious the antics we pull to see our Christmas present just a little sooner! That's some good stuff right there! Kudos for pulling it off! You've gotten every trucking company in the country getting phone calls from Forum Members, I mean "Ford" now! Lmao
