Build Progress - VIN's and build dates

A lot can be said here about Ford's IT department. They need to invest a little more into it so things work more seamlessly. Chances are that's why a number of these delays and switch-up's have happened. Cotus, ETIS, OASIS, Vincent, all these systems and they aren't fully meshing together. There's no reason with today's technology that we can't have up to the second tracking on what is going on. I'm guessing that each of these systems have Department Heads and then a long list of management people then the "on the floor" people and none of them want their heads cut off so they wheel and deal at the company Christmas parties and whatnot to keep their department open instead of it evolving into something that's more user friendly and efficient.

Drove by the Distribution yard this morning, and I think I saw my truck. It was backed against the fence. ETA is today, so hopefully they deliver it. I would have got pics, but Surveillance cameras were around the yard and didn't want to look suspicious, LOL

Rob - maybe my order will help yours actually get delivered by filling a rail car or a truck hauler. Just got my build date/week today.. 11/21.. At this point it looks like I'm getting myself (hopefully) a truck for Xmas 2016!

By the way Ted (who lives almost next door), My wife and I were in Norwich last Saturday and visited the Northeast Classic Car Museum. Over 170 pristine classics in three main buildings. Got my serial # this morning!!!! ordered on sept 9 it's a F 450 platinum at 1st i did not order the ultimate package just the sunroof and brake light camera. Last week after reading on here how much people like the adaptive cruise i asked dealer to change the order and lets just add the ultimate package he said we have a priority 1 and he was afraid if we play with we would get bumped and said lets wait till we get a serial#. So today we tried to add the ultimate pack and it said "Commodity restraint" so we left the sunroof and brake light camera and added the adaptive cruise and it took it not problem. I think the camera option is what maybe holding up a lot of trucks.

Is your truck a platinum ultimate? I placed an order for one August 19 and I have nothing yet as far as vin or eta or anything.
