My buddy is going to walk my truck down the line. What friend 9-5 week . I'm not bragging that's just what he told me. I've been telling him all the people having all these problems so he said he'll get it down the line and then it's out of his hands lol . I may have been asking to many questions over the last few weeks
Mine was built on the 10th and is *maybe* hitting a train today. It was released, loaded on to a Jack Cooper truck, then actually brought back to the plant on the 23rd, and finally re-released on the 24th and awaiting shipment. Dealer says it has already entered his inventory and it will be 10 days or less.
That would be a red flag to me, go over that truck with a fine tooth comb. If it was already on a truck then brought back to the plant, sounds to me they may have damaged something in shipment and needed to repair it.
Its been 26 years for me and I'm still driving my 1990 F250 7.3 with ATS turbo.
I'm impressed wow and I thought my truck was old . How is it holding up . My 7.3 is still a solid truck . It hard to beat the old trucks. I'm a little intimidated by this 17 so many computers not simple like the 7.3

It's showing some age, but so am I. She has been a very reliable truck. I'm very diligent about the maintenance. I'm also the only one that has ever turned a wrench on it. Paint is faded. I may hold on to it. New paint job. Fix up the interior. Will see.

Nah, I think its somewhat common. I've seen it on other sample visibility reports. Maybe they forgot to put the correct GAWR sticker on, lol.

Frankly, I think it's awesome that Ford is willing to pull back vehicles so quickly. To me, it's a sign they are interested in quality.
Remember the holdup on the ramp for the 2011's? There was a nut on the oil cooler that wasn't torqued right. Ford sent out a team and inspected, re-torqued every truck. And like it or not, damage in shipping is a real deal and happens frequently. We've seen the statuses that allow for that. Personally, I'd rather have Ford fix it at KTP than wait until it gets to the dealer to deal with it.

Mine is also showing signs of its age but my wife has talked me into selling it because I really don't need two sd's . I really hate to though. I've done a lot of the work myself also. The new creature comforts in the 17 will be a lot nicer for sure and not as load inside. I put a garret ball bearing turbo on it and the wife says it sounds like a train lol
Dealer called again, now truck is back at Ramp K1 in Kentucky awaiting shipping, still no ETA, no explanation why it was 'returned to plant' last two days.
I will definitely order a truck again. It allows me to get exactly what I want. There are definitely some things that I wish I would have added, but tried to keep the truck within budget. I am getting antsy, but want them to build it right the first time. I was hoping for a delivery before Oct 1st, but with a build date of the week of Sept 12th, I doubt that will happen.
It definitely helps that I have my current truck to drive. that's what is helping me stay sane.
