So a neat little twist in my truck delivery story. Mine and Plowjocky's trucks arrived in the rail car at the terminal in SLC yesterday but weren't offloaded until today. How do I know that you ask? Well, cool story. I called the trucking company that has the exclusive transportation contract with Union Pacific in SLC. How did I find that out you ask? Well google maps of course. I clicked on the Street View option and could see the name of the company on a metal sign on the gate leading into the the transport section of the rail yard. Then I googled the phone number of the company only to find out it's a national information line for the trucking company. So using my most confident voice I asked the nice lady to transfer me to the dispatch office in the Roper yard. Pause, pause, pause and she says, "Just a minute..." and I hear ring, ring and a guys answers the phone only by stating his first name. So I mumbled unintelligibly but pronounced FORD in there somewhere and asked him if he could give me an update on a VIN. He said sure and I gave him the last six and he told me it was "Ready" status meaning it is just waiting for assignment to a transport truck. His next question was awesome. He asked me if I wanted it fast to which I responded, "Yeah." He pushed a button and marked it hot and then a few seconds later he said he is loading a truck right now with space for one more. "Would you like me to get it to you tonight?" he asks, which I said, "Yes, please." And then, "Thank you."
So it's getting a ride north to Ogden as I write this. Tomorrow is the day!
Good job! I wish you had got mine on a truck headed south. I stopped by my dealer this afternoon and they said that they called and made it a hot this morning but the truck company would not guarantee it until Monday. But assured me it could come anytime prior to that. Congrats again.

Hey fellas, just checking in. Slight change in plans as I had to grab a couple of guys and catch a flight Sat morn. We're burning on a client site but should have this wrapped up tomorrow-ish. Hope to be back home Monday or Tuesday and pick up my waiting truck. No time for explanations and I can't even respond to the PMs right now. Bad timing for crises that didn't need to happen. No worries, just an interruption. Thanks for thinking of me.

Epic, checked the google sheet and saw your truck was built on 10/13 and mine was built on 10/6, so would guess mine truck may have been on your train, I have ETA of 11/4.
My truck is in state, should be at the railyard this afternoon.
Is yours going to Utah by chance? Mine was in north Platt Nebraska on Friday heading to Utah. I have no way to track it Daily however. Although I might start hounding my dealer every day now😬 ETA is 11/1-11-7.
Nope in Socal, Los Angeles If you have the car number, go to this thread and ask, there are also numbers you can call that are automated if you know which railroad and the car number. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-tracking.html
1. Dial-877-744-7279
2. Press 5
3. Press 3.......phone will ring like connecting you to someone but just another prompt menu
4. Press 1
5. Asks for car letter--(mine was TTGX820695)--you must enter the first letter then 1,2, or 3 for which letter on the corresponding # on the keypad. So mine was 8 & 1 (for T), then 8 & 1 (for T again), 4 & 1 (for G), 9 & 2 (for X).
6. It will ask for car # (I entered 820695)
7. It will ask u for more or say "DONE"
8. Will tell you rail are location
After placing my order for a Platinum Ultimate August 19, I finally got an ETA and VIN this past Saturday. My ETA is December 23, which unfortunately, I will be at work offshore till January 6.
