Thanks for the info fellas. How likely is the 8-30 date at the bottom of the window sticker to be accurate? Last week the dealer gave us a build date of 9-8. So I'm hoping it is or will be built in the coming week so I can get it by mid september
My truck is in production too and I am expecting it at my dealer on the 17th. The date at the bottom of my sticker says 8/26. Nothing in ETIS and nothing in COTUS. So we are in very similar boats.

The dealer date should be close. The date on the sticker is the date the sticker info was produced I think.

Hope it all goes well for us... I guess I better start cleaning out my old work truck which will take a couple days with all the tools and supplies I carry. Once my company gets my truck I have to be ready to move into it that day because we transfers the plates.

That is the date the sticker was created. We confirmed this with Rutcutter's window sticker. But remember that the sticker is created only a few days before production so you can figure build date pretty closely.

Wild guess here, but I think that the date at the very bottom is the date the sticker was produced and then the date at the end of the text chain in the bottom box is the date built.

Thanks, same to you. They are both "CONVOY" and I am in N. IN, the semi may drop off mine on the way to bring yours up to MI.
Well, unfortunately for me this whole thing took an unexpected turn. My dealer's rep finally got back three days ago and told me my dually was probably 2 months out - no explanation beyond that.
I mulled this for a day. I searched high and low for a reasonably nearby truck - even single wheel models - and there was nothing nearby actually in stock. I have a job requiring a truck to pull my trailer starting a week from Monday.
The dealer I ordered from gave me a heck of a deal on yet another 2016, in light of all the problems I had. So now I have purchased a single rear wheel, crew cab 4x4 diesel Super Duty, in King Ranch trim, with every option.
Not what I wanted, but its the nicest of this generation Super Duty I've owned.
On a side note, I drove their 2017 regular cab, gas-powered XLT 4x4 they already have. It didn't start up well - it actually had a skip to it for a few seconds. I thought maybe it was low on fuel, but it had a 1/4 tank. Then it was fine. I fit in this truck very well and it was comfortable. It drove very nicely - felt very tight and the ride was noticeably better than the 2016. I really liked the truck, aside from poor panel fit of the doors and to a lesser extent, the hood.
So I talked with the dealer manager, and I'm still committed to the 2017-generation truck. We've basically got a deal in place of what he'll give me in trade for the King Ranch truck in one year so I can move to the truck I really want. He says he'll order again, exactly the way I want (lol!). But all in all, they were pretty decent to me during the buying experience.
So best of luck for now to all of you guys either already owning or still waiting on the new Super Duty. I just couldn't wait anymore. I'll still be hanging around the 2017 section and will try to be helpful if I know the answers to any of the questions posted.
Too bad troverman. There is a bright side. All the bugs will be worked out of the system by then. Now you can watch on the sidelines without all the emotional investment. Still, it would have been better to get the truck you really want.
Thanks guys. I'm having larger tires installed this AM and will post pics later today or tomorrow. I don't want to hijack this thread too much which is dedicated to the 2017 trucks - just wanted to post a quick update to how the whole 2017 order thing has worked out for me. In a nutshell:
1. Ordered 2017 F-350 Lariat Ultimate, Blue Jeans, gas 6.2L, 4-21-2016
2. Changed order to dually diesel, no other changes to specs, 5-17-2016
3. In June, discover through Ford that the order did not update properly or dealer entered changes wrong.
4. Ford Motor rep works with my dealer and "corrects" the order to a new one without losing "place" in line
5. Dealer accidentally deletes my order while trying to remove original order for gas longbed. Does not mention this to me. Dealer recreates my order "from memory" to save face; my place in the order line is lost.
6. I finally get a copy of the new order from dealer - it shows a Ruby Red dually diesel Lariat Value package truck w/o sunroof, nav, LED lights, etc. I'm upset; dealer admits what he did, submits yet another new order for the correct truck - in July. The Ruby Red truck is locked in, so it also remains scheduled to come in.
7. Based upon what I can find out here, from the dealer, and from Ford, the retail-ordered Blue dually will arrive too late for me to use for my jobs. However, the red dually is built 8-10-16 and the ETA is 9/4/16. I somewhat reluctantly decide to accept the red dually.
8. Late August, the dealer tells me with a high degree of certainty the red dually will indeed arrive 9/4. Chatting with Ford every week shows no change of ETA, and ETIS confirms build date and options. Dealer offers me $2k more for trading in my 2016 XLT diesel if I do it now instead of when the truck comes in, since they have a buyer. I decide I can live without a truck for 2 weeks.
9. As the 9/4/16 date approaches, suddenly my truck status changes from released and loaded on Jack Cooper to "returned to the plant, in production, and no ETA." Dealer has no explanation, reaches out to rep. The sister truck ordered by dealer same day as mine arrives early.
10. Needing a truck, I buy yet another 2016 Super Duty.
