Thanks troverman for the vote of confidence. I guess after it gets built I'll be on here bitching like everyone else. Then will have to start another tread for those who have trucks built but can't get them home. My friend from ktp is on vacation this week and it's killing me not to know what's going on at the plant.

Sorry 'bout that. Maybe yours will be smooth sailing all the way through. It's funny, my dealer ordered mine and one for themselves on the same date. "Their" truck arrived in stock at the dealer in VT yesterday. Mine remains in Kentucky.
Dang I thought the stock orders were going to wait until after retail at this point. I've been reading some of the other treads about truck delivered not to many on the higher trims . I'm sure we should have our trucks by the end of the month 9-30 surely
I am going to throw out my status and thoughts, let's see what sticks.
Ordered on 6/22. Initially the dealer ordered it as retail but then did another order as dealer stock and cancelled the retail.
I received a VIN on 6/30 and a sticker around 8/10.
I check ETIS at least once a day . My dealer did not know about ETIS so I showed him.
He uses the dealerconnection website and the status reports come from a vehiclevisibility page on that site:
As of now there is no updates or anything. What tools should my dealer be using (ie. what ones are yours using?)?
Does anyone have any clues from the status report above?
Thanks for the forums. I would be going crazier without them!!
I really haven't seen a sheet like that . I'd be upset too. Do you think when he canceled the original truck he messed up and you had to start all over? That's what it looks like to me. I really wanted to change mine to a long bed but I was told ford would put me a the end of the line so I didn't. Sorry for your trouble maybe you're dealer will make it worth it . Free oil changes or something

The sheet he is showing is called a Vehicle Visibility Report which only the dealers have access to. It's the most accurate and up to date tracking you can get.
Mine was built on 8-10 as well. It made it further than that - loaded to Jack Cooper Transport - then was sent back to the plant. Then it was re-released again, awaiting shipment, and a week later, back to the plant "in production."
Well little did I know. This is crazy I hope I don't have to go through this. It seems the ford rep in that area wood call and at least let you'll know what's going on. This seems as bad as buying a house or building one anyway. Maybe we should all send a letter to ford . It's depressing reading all of this that's for sure . I may need a safe space after this lol

Funny how you can instantaneously find a $10 tracked shipping package but, you can't find a $60,000 truck weighing 4000lbs.

The problem is ownership. You do not own the truck. Ford offers ETIS and Chat as a courtesy to customers who have ordered, but concrete info can only be found through your dealer. The deal is between you and your dealer, not you and Ford Motor. The dealer is the one receiving the invoice after placing the order, and he is the one agreeing to and paying the interest on the invoice once the window sticker is generated.
The dealer has the Vehicle Visibility Report. As you can see, it is excellent tracking information. If you call your dealer, most will tell you the latest update. It literally takes them two minutes or less to find out. They simply enter the order #.
EDIT: The problem lies in the fact that sometimes people are placed at great inconvenience by not receiving timely orders. For example, I sold my truck based upon a reasonable ETA. That ETA is going to be off several weeks. I no longer have an HD truck capable of hauling my largest trailer, which is going to impact my work in a few weeks if the new truck does not arrive.
Thanks for clearing that up. I personally still believe that with today's technology for could and should be like house mouse said like Amazon on tracking for us guys and girls who don't want to go or call the dealership. It would be great customer service and another first ( in its class) just saying

Sure would be nice, I agree. But on the other hand, anyone in the world could track any order simply by obtaining a VIN.
The 2017 6.7 Diesel engine is de-rated in 1st, 2nd, & 3rd gears while taking off from a stand still. I have 2 questions:
Off topic but you guys seem really informed on the new Superduty so I'm going to ask 2 questions......
1. What are the hp/torque #'s while under this de-rated status?
2. When towing up a steep grade and your truck downshifts from 4th into 3rd does the 6.7 diesel still give you the rated hp/torque 440/925 or does that # decrease as it does on take off in gears 1,2,& 3??
Sorry but I can't get answers to these questions anywhere.....even at the Ford drive event by the reps in Anaheim, Ca. a few weeks ago, they couldn't answer it either. After driving the new truck I ordered one nonetheless but still looking for answers......

It's a few bad apples that screw it up for everybody lol. Your right I wouldn't want anyone tracking my truck. I wish someone would up-load some fresh videos on YouTube I just can't keep watching the same ones lol . Life is good at least we all know we've got some kick *** trucks coming someday
