In Cotus? If so, the dealer used the same order number for your truck, as was used for the F-150...I had the same thing happen. Chat will see and communicate the difference for you.
Yes, this was in Cotus, was just coming back to specify that. A VIN lookup in ETIS shows F-150 too. Not sure what you mean with "Chat will see and communicate the difference to you". Thanks for the response.
My dealer has 2 vehicles ordered with the same order number, My superduty and a Explorer, neither show up on Cotus, and chat keeps giving me the explorer vin. I hvae to tell them they have to search deeper, most will, and find it, one or 2 just tell me there is no superduty ordered with that number,
I assume when you guys refer to "chat" you're talking about chat on the ETIS site or something? I don't see a chat option on COTUS and don't have a login for ETIS so I'm guessing I'll be at the mercy of the dealership when I can talk to them tomorrow. I appreciate everyone's responses, sounds like cotus is a dead end for me until I have the correct VIN number.

There's a chat icon on the summary page in the build and price...on ford.com. They have access to some but not all data. Also, they are closed in the weekends, and I assume holidays, but are around til 10-11pm I believe...during the week. Happy hunting!
New here with a concern I haven't seen anyone else mention so I'm a bit worried. I ordered a '17 F250 Caribou Lariat, 8' bed, crew cab, almost all options. Yesterday I got the dealer code and order number so I can track myself on the ford order tracker. I was thrilled to log in and see a delivery date (10/08) and a VIN number assigned. The order is in "In Order Processing" status.
The concern: The "Vehicle Summary" reports a vehicle nothing at all like what I ordered. It's reporting a Ruby Red F150 with a 5.5 ft bed and V6 engine ... not even same ballpark.
Dealer is closed today so I'm calling tomorrow, just curious, anyone else get incorrect Vehicle Summary info while the order is early on in the process ... I'm hoping the order data just hasn't been fully entered into the system yet.
Just spoke with my dealer. F350 is sitting at the Kentucky plant awaiting to be loaded onto the CSX bound for Fort Worth. ETA is 8/14. Crossing my fingers..... AGAIN! Also got a Convoy# of 069622000. Jack Cooper Transport for those who can decipher that stuff.

Congrats on locating and finally getting a realistic delivery date. Too bad it is 11 1/2 months out

according to my window sticker truck was built 8/31. ford chat old me ETA to dealer is 9/20.... are these dates given by chat usually pretty reliable? not sure how else i can fact check my trucks status. the dealer originally gave us build date of 9/8. so if the window sticker date is correct the truck is over a week ahead of schedule. hoping maybe that means delivery could be a little earlier.

If the truck is built, the dealer can provide you with rail car tracking info. Get that from them and follow the steps in the rail car tracking thread and you'll know EXACTLY where your truck is at any moment.

i did look on the dealers inventory for the 2017'sand they have 8 trucks "in transit" with build dates ranging from 8-10 to 8-26. maybe my truck will be on a carrier with some of those.
