Build Progress - VIN's and build dates

Got my vin today
I took juniorf250's advise and called Ford !
They gave me a vin number but no build date. 71920
I ordered the f350 platinum713A group package , 6.7 3.55 fx4 Swr
SC ,6.75 box with platinum ultimate,
Fifth wheel prep. Roof lights, up fitter switches, the full camera package & tpms.
Black on black ,
Ordered was placed on August 22.
Called the dealer they said they knew it was picked ?
But no knowledge of the vin number .
They gave me a vin number but no build date. 71920

I forgot to remind you guys that my fleet manager is the one whose dealing with the dealer on it and I don't like to question or bug him about it. I'm just passing along what he told me today....I too thought next week seemed a little long. I did drop the hint to my fleet manager that it would sure be nice to have the truck by Tuesday to use for a 200mile trip to haul stuff up to Lansing for our marketing department. He replied "see what I can do. No promises"

I got my VIN on Thursday of last week - last 5 digits = 76664
Today my dealer called and said the Build Date was set for 10/19/2016 with a delivery ETA of 10/26/2016.
I hope all that holds...

Picked it up Friday afternoon and just arrived here in San Antonio moments ago. Here on Vacation. AWSOME!!!! 3-5 day drive here and not one 2017 on the road. Several vehicles boxed me in to view the truck. Very Chunky!!! Tan leather interior with a black dash and accents. Love the Plat White color.
