Just spoke to my Fort Worth dealer.... My built truck is still sitting in Grandma' attic. He is going to call the Area Rep(?) to find out what is going on with the shipping. They are a Mega Truck Dealer and only have two(?) diesels on the lot. He is going to call me back later today with the latest info. StandBy!!!!!!!!!

Bad enough not being able to get my truck even scheduled. I would be bonkers by now if it had been built for weeks and gone missing. Which area rep is he going to call? Not area 51 I hope!!

Mine was built on the 10th and is *maybe* hitting a train today. It was released, loaded on to a Jack Cooper truck, then actually brought back to the plant on the 23rd, and finally re-released on the 24th and awaiting shipment. Dealer says it has already entered his inventory and it will be 10 days or less.

Wish I could help you out.... Didn't ask him that. He is quite professional and on top of things. Yes, it's frustrating... Waiting, Waiting, Waiting.
My F450 supposedly built about 4-5 weeks ago as of yesterday still sitting in Kentucky. No explanation from dealer available. Somewhat unusual in that the F350 SRW delivered in another post to Georgia has most if not all the technology available so it would seem that is no longer the issue. Well I will just keep putting the miles on my trade in I guess. Retrax ordering number should be available in one week or so I was informed by the Retrax people and actual product soon after. Weather tech still no information on mats or mud-flaps that I can find.
When i was picking up mine the dealer stated the driver told them that the shortage of delivery railcars and delivery trucks was major. Seems that trucks have been built only to not have a place to park them. Extra trucks were called in to take off some of the pressure but not enough have come.
The delivery rail cars and truck shortages have been known for awhile now with all brands.

Maybe hook a few of the 450s up to some trailers and make their own deliveries. Not a good business model in my opinion.

I think the delivery problem is a once a year issue when the new models first start coming out. Once the initial rush is over there is probably plenty of rolling stock waiting for the next wave of vehicles. And if the transportation companies maintained a fleet large enough to handle the rush the cost would be substantially higher to keep that fleet idle the balance of the time.

Very true Rasalas. Likely contracted work as well so getting private once a year haulers involved would be frowned upon as well leading to more delays out of protest from the major players.
Just talked to friend and he said the plant was running great this week m-Thursday . He says best week so far . So maybe some dealers aren't up on everything??
