Just got an update from the dealer. The bauxite is being unloaded at the smelter and they expect to melt it down by the middle of next week and send the billets over to the rolling mill. From there it will be QC'd and if approved transported to the stamping mill by the Oct 30 and then they will schedule stamping of my body panels for sometime in November. Truck should be scheduled on the line no later than 31Dec16 and delivery around 31Jan17.

Was just thinking the same thing. 20-Mule team no doubt.

I will be calling my Dealer tomorrow for a ETA to Fort Worth update.

Hey Rob, throw your order info up on my other thread "Delivered 2017 Super Duty Orders Here..." We're trying to keep track of everyone here who ordered. Doesn't need to be delivered yet, you can edit in January of 2017 Sorry. But do post your info if you don't mind.

Day after day, week after week, month after month. New orders go to the head of the line while 4 month old orders sit at the bottom of the pile. Not jaded but somewhat annoyed that frost will be on the ground at this point when I look at the dates being published for orders made in late July and early August while orders from the first week of the order banks opening are not even being considered. It is easy to start wondering "what's up with this?"

Completely agree. My understanding was once the "OK to Ship" date occurred, which was what - July something? - that Retail orders would now take priority and all "stock" orders at that point would wait until retail was caught up. You could always try to find a truck already built and for sale that was close to what you want and just cancel your order, but I think you're more patient than most.

I doubt there would be something close enough to make me happy after this long a wait and the expectation the order would be fulfilled in a reasonable time and order compared to others. If they all take until November that is one thing. Retail orders placed in July/August coming through in September is another.

Ok Guys. I just received a email from Ford Customer Service that my truck is in Lawrenceville GA. That is a 45 minute drive from me. It's ETA is now the 30th. I hope it gets here a little quicker. We have church camp next week and I need to get 1000 miles on her before I tow. Fingers still crossed.

Just make sure you get some pictures posted up here on the Delivered thread before you go off to camp!

I'll do my best. I sold by 2011 a month and a half ago. Seems like a year and a half ago. It had 170000 miles on it and still brought amazing money. I sat in a 2017 yesterday, the wait is worth it. I didn't even drive it.

Quick search reveals a few SuperCab Lariats, including one which is a dually (better for your camper, maybe).

Search autotrader from your area, maybe go out 300 miles. You could drive or arrange a dealer swap.

I feel for you. A reasonable person would expect first-in-first-out on the order bank with some variables for parts availability or complexity. But it's hard to put the proverbial finger on what exactly what criteria qualifies for selection. The only thing that makes any sense at this point is the massive shift towards retail orders. If the early orders were placed as dealer stock, that strategy would be coming back to bite now.
