So...if it's 'exactly' what you're looking for...?

It sure sounds like someone on our end got some confused as you said - sorry for the confusion!

If you wanted to hang onto that bad boy, you of course sure could, but I believe that we've issued a call tag for you already. If you change your mind and want to hang onto it, just let us know.

See that? The DC Power unit beat the Mechman unit to your door. Hah!

Well damn, why can't I have that kinda luck? I'm usually the one who gets charged for crap I didn't get.

You didn't by chance have a radiator hose show up at your house about this time last year? If so, it's mine.

Two weeks, two smeeks...it still beat the Mechman unit.

We normally have stock on that bad boy - meaning it would've shipped same day. We are getting some in again next week. Woo hoo!

So,

The DC unit was inquired about, but not ordered over 2 weeks ago and arrived yesterday.

The Mechman was ordered 4 business days ago and you're patting yourself on the back?

Just returned from the powder coater LivingLarge. Your alternator is now officially BLUE!
Now as far as the Mechman alternator case is concerned that was posted here. If you look at closely enough you will notice that the case has been bead blasted and not a new casting. Next look closely at the stator inside the alternator. New unused windings are not a tan colored but brilliant grey on the tips of the connections. Im not going to say anything else ....... you can decide for yourself. If it was sold as a reman unit it's cool, nothing wrong with that, but it's not new. Just thought i would let you know.

The DC Power unit was inquired about INITIALLY two weeks ago. Further correspondence ensued, but the order was placed in error just a few days ago.

Did we screw up here by asking for it to be shipped at all? Yep, sure did. We're human too.

Was the resultant ship time faster than the Mechman? Sure seems like it.

I was just trying to keep it light in my post, nothing more. It can be hard to have that come across in writing sometimes, I totally get that.

Mostly, in case it is not just obviously and intrinsically clear, we just want to help people.

As a business owner, it's not a question as to whether you or your people will ever make a mistake. It's how you handle those mistakes that sets you apart.

We do realize that FICM.com is trying eliminate the long delay in filling orders, but that's his solution to help the members here to obtain your product in a reasonable time.. what's your solution?
The powder coating on that alt was promised almost 11 days ago, by the time it's done, your behind by two weeks. We still haven't heard why it takes months to get anything from your company?

That powder coating looks like crap IMHO.

Funny the subject of LL receiving a discount for accepting a lower amperage unit is being skirted over.

Not only should there be a rebate due to the lesser unit but also a rebate due to the extremely long drawn out warranty claim.
