Yeah personally I'm not opposed to fibetglass obviously its not as strong but the likelihood i get hit bad enough to damsge my hood is when the truck is totaled lol.
I like ram air on the 05-07 and 11-currwnt trucks and cowl on the 08-10 and 99-04 trucks IMO. Personal opinion but does anyone know if the cercini hoods come primed?
I guess our 02 is in the mix up then and can't have either. LOL
Personally to me it depends on the truck. For example our 02 in my opinion would look stupid with a ram air even with the 05 bumper and grille (and one of these days Harley lights). However I think a nice cowl hood would look great.
What do you think?
Trav
I guess thats true it would depend your 02 imo looks good with the stock hood it's funny because depending on how you look at it it looks like a different model year.
thanks.
That is why me and my dad are probably going to stay with the stock hood.
I personally later on plan to put headlight like you have on it (color matched of the black on the lower part) and a few other things.
That is one thing I like most about our 02 is that if you know the difference between 05-07s and 99-04s it is hard to tell what year it is. The other is so many people at the gas station think it is a diesel. LOL
Trav
Lol honestly trav i love the look of your 02 with the original headlights its an original conversion plus the light output is better on thise than the 05 lights lol
Glad you had a good Christmas Matt! I got the miter saw I really wanted and a few other tools to add to my collection. No truck parts either, although I did hint about a few.... But my fiance did come through with slim jims, chocolate, and craft beer
Haha beer always works! I will be working on the truck again this week, we bought a bedroom set and new mattress this weekend so now were are cleaning and getting the room cleared out so it can be delivered this week lol. Once that's all over and done with work will be winding down also so i will have free time again...finally lol.
This weekend i did however siphon out the remaining gas in my 04's tank and fill up the 95 which i took for a quick spin last night. It runs and drives great with the exception of the steering which i think needs new tie rods because its almost a 1/4 turn before the wheels turn lol. Definitely not safe for my grandfather to drive but i can drive it fine for now.
Check the rag joint in the steering column. Those have also been known to cause a lot of play.
Nasty weather this past Wednesday put a 45' tall pine tree on the side of our house. We spent Friday dealing with that. After winching the tree off with my ATV, damaged a few shingles, smashed a down spout and bent the hell out of the gutter. So I spent Saturday fixing that with my Dad. Then turned to do some interior trim I have been promising the fiance I would do for more than a year. That led to repainting the bathroom... And now I am back at work.... Missed out on the relaxing part... lol.
After the new years party this week, I have to look at the Ranger. I think after 207000 miles, the front wheel bearings are about toast. And I need to do oil in the Ranger and Grand Vitara.... Then oil in the SD. And the cycle begins again....
yeah no resting this holiday season for me either lol I've been moving furniture on my own because my fiance isn't much help since she is 5'2" lol...lots of thinking and engineering when moving stuff that is a 1/2" bigger than the doorway lol.
The rag joint? where is that? I am still getting familiar with the TTB set up, IDK about you but personally the tie rod set up on those is sketchy as F*** to me lol.
I am not sure of the purpose, but they can be a problem spot on Rangers. They are like a rubber insulator, possibly for vibration. But the dry rot and put play into the steering. Here is a thread:
