I read somewhere that was a wrong gasket (different model), that causes the leak, IDK, just in case, but Im sure you used the right one

I assume he used the early build gasket and pump since it's a '95. Definitely a good question and it did need to be asked.

Yeah, the new one I put on today was the early gasket, and the one I took off was too. Aaron suggested the check valve plug in the block between the HPOP and head on the driver side. He said it has an o-ring on it too. There is oil around that plug, so I'll check that tomorrow too.

There is an o-ring on it. Never seen it leak, but that's another good idea. Its a kind of a PITA little bugger to mess with. The HPOP is fed oil via that check valve during cranking and initial start up and prevents the HPOP rez from leaking down while sitting as well. With that in mind, I would spray carb cleaner down there and get it cleaned up. Then I would watch it during cranking/initial start up if possible.

I can't see anything leaking while it idling, but if I take it for a short drive, there is a little puddle in that first low spot in the valley behind the HPOP, so it only leaks when the ICP is up.

If I had a smaller mirror that I could get in there, I want to look at the bottom of the oil galley plug on the front of the driver side head. It's got to be that, or the front cover is leaking under the HPOP, or, the check valve plug that Aaron mentioned. I really don't think it's the front cover though. I'm gonna try to track it down tomorrow. I'm gonna clean and dry everything again as best as I possibly can, and then go from there. I might even try the flour trick if I have to.

I am been looking for a leak for a long time and I think I found it yesterday. The passenger side VC in the back somehow got a dent in it where it seals on the valve gasket. It was dented 'up' allowing the oil out. It would run down and drip on the exhaust manifold and burn off so I never saw a leak on the ground. I thought the motor was using a little oil. I straighten the dent the best I could but haven't tested it yet to see if that did the trick.

Also the auto fluid out line by the DP was leaking and the nut was rounded off. I got another out of the junk yard but a last effort used vice grips on it and it stopped leaking, for now LOL Good Luck!
