I cleaned everything up with brake cleaner and got everything dry and started, started the truck and let it run on high idle for a few minutes. Then I revved it up several times and finally got it to leak. It is coming from one of two places. It's either the plug for the check valve in the block, or it is coming from between the front cover and block at the oil passage just to the pass side of that plug for the check valve. I'm gonna try to get that plug out and put another o-ring on it first. If that doesn't fix it, then the front cover is gonna have to come off.......oh what fun

Well, I guess the engine is gonna have to come out and the front cover come off and get re-sealed. I didn't even try that plug. After eating some lunch and going back out and looking at it again, I feel pretty certain that the leak is the front cover. If I didn't have so much other stuff going on right at the moment, I would have started on it today, but I am supposed to be getting a Subaru wagon that needs a head gasket from my brother-in-law. I may just wait until I get that in the shop and see if that is all it needs and see if I can get head gaskets put on it. If so, that is going to be my work car. I also have a 2000 F550 to put glow plugs in and another guy is supposed to bring his truck up here for me to change the flex plate and fix an oil leak. And on top of all of this, my son bought a '96 F250 PSD that we are hauling in here tomorrow, and it needs put back together. The cab needs bolted back down the engine and trans put back in and the front clip put back on. Somewhere in between all of this we need to put a clutch in Tyler's truck too. Hopefully I can get the engine pulled and back in mine in a weekend before some of this other stuff hits. While I have it out I think I'll go ahead and rebuild the oil cooler and do the oil rail pug o-rings and anything else I can think of. Fun fun fun!
