Rebuilding E4OD
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums here but not to being a grease monkey. I normally rebuild Mopar and Chevy trannys but have been working on a 92 E40D from my son-in-laws F150. We rebuilt and when we got the fluid in it we started the truck and the tranny has a squeal in it like a bad bearing. We just pulled the tranny again and I had noticed you all have been talking about a zip file.
I was wondering if I could get it so I can go back thru it and see if I missed something in there.
Also when we took the valve body off according to everything I can find we had 2 extra check ***** in there. Do we need to put those back in or is it ok without them?
Thanks

Thanks pickncrew for the zip file.
I do have a question about Overdrive Clutch Piston Return Spring which is part #93 on the diagram. Is that suppose to be installed with the fingers up or down? Also we had a squeal in the tranny when we started it up and it was full of tranny fluid and when we took it for a drive it wouldn't shift automatically but would if we done it manually and squealed the whole time. That's the only probs we had with it after we was done.
This is a 4x4 if that makes any difference.

Got the problem solved in my post above but now I have a prob at the valve body installation. I found a check ball placement diagram to make sure I had all the check ***** in the correct place and on the side of the diagram it had a note to make sure to install the spring and poppet valve.
The prob I have with that is there was no poppet valve when we took it apart just the spring. I thought maybe we might have lost it the first time so I went through my pics I took when tearing it down and there was no poppet valve in the pics just the spring. Do I need that poppet valve or not?

Can someone please send me that zip file for the E40D. My transmission is slipping and I need to get it rebuilt, but I wouldn't mind doing it myself but before that I would like to look the zip file over and see if it is something I would like to tackle myself. My email is frankrod82@hotmail.com Thank You
