Rebuilding E4OD

E4OD rebuild
I have been messing around on an off with an E4OD in my 89 F-350 crew cab for a while. When I started this I had been on this forum and caught a link to an excellent photographic rebuild sequence. I had saved it in my favorites and when I finally got around to rebuilding it, I found that the link was no longer there. Is this the zip file everyone is needing? If so could someone email it to me please? Even with a tech manual there are questions that I have that don't seem to be addressed. Long time shade tree mechanic, first time in an auto transmission!! Help!!!

Just picked up a 91 F150 XLT 4X4 for a song, but I suspect it may have trans issues since its shifting late and hard into 3rd. It would be awesome if I could get that zip file, thanks.

I was going gold panning last summer and had to go up and over this really steep ridge. This was on pavement and after noticing the smell of my brakes on first crossing, I had this great idea to drop it into 2nd gear without stopping..
I hear this POP - wissssssssss sound and about 45 minutes later the tranny pukes.. We let her sit over nite and I THINK i got the fluid refilled, but maybe I didn't? No reverse... Had her town home and now i've got the funds to fix it.. I wonder .....? too late to pull codes.. battery went dead.. Already dropped the transfer case. No reverse even in nuetral.. tried to spin by hand. any suggestions

WOW! Seems like there is a lot of probs with E4OD out there including mine. I just had the 4R100 done in my Excursion, now I need the E4OD done in my C350. But this time Im gonna try it myself. I think My dad was the BEST transmission man in this area in his time and I hope there is a little ATF in my blood too. I would like a copy of ZIP too please. beast428pi@yahoo.com THANKS!!

I would very much appreciate the zip file. My 93 E-350 Diesel is doing fine with 331,220 miles on it, all except for the E4OD. It has never let me down but the tranny is finally showing signs of getting tired, so I am going to rebuild it.

this is a must have for this forum newbie. been having major issues with the e40d, and cant find the problem. powerstroke.org has been ZERO help... can i have the zip please as im going to tackle this myself

Very glad to have found these forums and for the benefit of such great info from all who participate here. Think I'd like to try the rebuild on my 88 250 E4OD thats been sitting in the garage the last few years, then hopefully I'll be ready if and when the 1990 tanks again.
