Ryan, I'm glad you are headed the right direction on your truck, I'm with some of the other guys get the police and get your truck, you have the title and the keys. I would be afraid that if you tried to get it by your self it could get ugly. The dude might have it disabled some how and you really wouldn't be friendly territory to work on it.
Lol, probably. I agree need to park it at a friends house a controlled area preferrably in a garage with a locked fence and a dog like Cujo protecting it. Also when u do get it back which you will you might think about changing the plates and painting it so nobody recognizes it if and when you do drive it. Just my two cents. Stay positive.
Hey, OT, but where in redding are you? Im in Sacramento.
Ryan, I've been trying to do some catching up on what going on here. It seems like quite a few think you should just go get your truck. Whats the lawyer say about that? The way things most likely work around this part of the country you get tickets for traffic related offenses. Here your uncle could charge you with assault and battery, which of coarse would further complicate things for you with courts and legal stuff. I would really like to see you get your truck back, or at least be sure that you are going to be well compensated for it. Things work a little different in different states but here it's not a good thing to have your vehicle impounded and put in storage, because a lot of strange things happen there, parts and things turn up missing or damaged and that just complicates everything, plus the storage is expensive and adds up real fast. It's also a important to know if the uncle and others involved have assets that can be attached, not just a court judgement. Quite often the people that do these kind of things are really druggie deadbeats and don't really have anything.
Not sure how it would work but consider this, if you try to go get your truck, call the police a little before your get there and inform them what you're about to do. Most likely they will have someone respond quickly, especially if they think there could be an altercation.
Just some things to think about, I'm sure you are very overwhelmed with everything that has happened.
Go get your truck back! I cant believe that it is still on Craigslist, Go act like you want to buy it, Take it for a test drive and don't come back with it!
Like richdawg said,

What good is it to sue your piece of s hit uncle since he prolly does not have a pot to **** in, You will get no money out of him, and you wont want to deal with him the rest of his life getting payments from him.
Get you hands on the only real asset that you will get out of this deal, YOUR TRUCK BACK, then deal with everything else once that is secure.
Thanks for your service and looking forward to an update on this,..

This is like one of those times where one of us if we were good with video editing, where we could use that Hitler video where he gets all pissed from the movie and they keep tagging in other things, and make some dialog about his truck. haha.
