And the license plates still match on the truck?

That to me says its yours and the cops should be able to bring him in on theft.

Doesnt matter if he has a piece of paper saying somebody sold him the truck.

Cuz Marcus has told me he is waiting for the title and plates to come in as he only got it a month ago...

Cops will get it worked out, in your favor. Dont believe this is a story you made up, just a messed up turn of events.

Like a lot of folks I have been a little confused and perplexed.....................

Don't know how the laws work back there, but out here there is one possible scenario that I can see for the part of the country I'm in............
Good ole Unc gets a mechanics lien on the truck while Ryan is gone. Does the paperwork and ends up with a title via the mechanics lien. Sells the truck and, save civil court, Ryan is screwed because Mario or whomever has a free and clear title.

I'm wondering if Ryan couldn't go to the JAG and get something done. When my daughter went into the Navy, some people tried taking advantage of her departure from the area. I told her to ask JAG about it and they were able to intercede on her behalf and put a stop to it. They did, and they weren't very nice about it either. Seems one of the JAG lawyers at her base took a very dim view of people trying to take advantage of military people. Anyway, just a thought on this bizar situation.

Who is the "bill of sale" from? They will get questioned about it and in the end it should be noticed that somewhere someone never authorized their truck to be sold. I would hope the dmv has been notified by the police, although I would visit my local dmv anyway just to let them know personally and see if they can cancel that title transfer and plates that Marcus is getting.

This is all going to come down to dates...what date did you drop it off with uncle, when did you leave, what is the date on the bill of sale, what is the date of your return, and when was the stolen vehicle complaint filed.....

There is a good explanation.

It's still false and fixable in court.

if that was the case, he sold the truck before he had control of it, or somebody sold the truck before there was control of it, so they are waiting on a new title.

Alright, well this has really got my blood pressure up and I hope I am wrong here, but I can't ignore this now.

How old are you Ryan? You need to answer this very carefully and here is why. Something about this whole thing stinks if you ask me. The longer it goes on the more I can't help but feel that something is awry.

I am with George. I'm calling BS on this whole thing and here is why:

May I present exhibit 1 - Ryan says in the first post of this thread just over a year ago that he is 16.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ell-kinda.html
Don't you have to be 18 to enlist? Or have they changed that now (I don't think so).

Exhibit 2:
In post 66 here Ryan says he has some money to put into the truck and this was discussed in several threads after this. We even helped him put a shopping list together at one point of all the things that he could buy with the $23k his grandfather left him.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...t-smoke-5.html
I remember this post because the image of him working together with his Grandpa on his truck stuck with me. But apparently that must have been pretty quick since the first post about getting the truck was only 2 months before this thread....

Exhibit 3:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...last-ride.html
On 2-16 Ryan posts this thread called "Last Ride" about taking the 'ol Stroke out for one last drive before he left for basic. How long is basic anyway? Because this was only 10 weeks ago and I thought basic training was 13 weeks for the marines, unless you're in the Navy, in which case I guess it could only be 8 weeks. In which case I guess I can cut you some slack on this one. But he said Marines here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...pping-out.html

Exhibit 4:
It appears that they must let you post about and work on your trucks at basic training now a days because in this thread Ryan says he traded his '96 PSD for a four wheeler:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ot-so-new.html

I hate to do it guys, but I am going to have to call it.

I think we have caught ourselves a troll.

Either way, Ryan you have some "serious 'splaning to do"!!

George just looked it to a salvage title. To get one the last known owner would haver to be notified via mail with a sertified letter and get no response before he could get a title

Lol, "Your honor, I rest my case!" I await the defense and we will let the "jury" here at FTE decide I guess.

Just click on his user name in any post he makes and then click on the link where it says "View All Posts by....". You can see all the posts he made in the 70's F series forum during the time he is telling us he was in basic training, which even if he left on 02-17, wouldn't be done yet... 13 weeks puts him back May 18th.

Hmmm so exhibit 3 ALSO says his DAD was watching it for him....yet Uncle Richard is the character in question. Exhibit 4, Ryan states on April 2nd, 2012 that he has traded his PSD for a four wheeler, and was given his dads 79 f150. This is while he was at 'boot camp'.

Just goes to show, you cant trust what people say on the internet. As much as i thought FTE would be the last place for liars, scammers, and flat out douche bags, here we are.

Ryan, unless you have an excuse from God, wtf man. How dare you impersonate being a member of the military. Either way, your posts show you've lied to us more thsn once. Liars and theives, one and the same.

I hope im wrong. I really do. If so forgive me but from everything here you are more full of **** than a babies diaper.

Lol, 'ya hear that.... crickets!

Don't get me wrong I know this is a serious accusation I am making here, but someone point out where I am going wrong in my logic. Either that or maybe Ryan can "splainitto me".
