Back for now
I'd call the cops. Pretty sure changing a VIN number (or trying to) is a federal offense. That's enough to get it away from this guy now, especially if the new vin can be traced back to his dad's place. PM Rick. He can probably tell you all the spots that would have the original VIN still stamped on the truck.
And also, what day to you ship out for MOS training? Instead of counting how many days it's been, we need to be doing a countdown of how many days till you leave.

There are so many "concelead" vins it is stupid.as we have a very strict state trooper and we have a hot rod shop he schools us on what not to do and keeps us on the straight and narrow.i assure you if u get the correct authorites the crooks here are not smart enough to get away with what they are trying to pull!
I have to agree with the rest of the guys pretty sure you are screwed on this one now. He knows who you are, and that you have a title, now you are 3 hours away from the truck, so I would consider the truck GONE now.
You should have taken the truck for a "test Drive" and not come back with it.
Good luck anyway,.. but it dont look good for you now,..

If I knew without a shadow of a doubt that was my truck, I would have left there with it! With the adrenaline I'd have pumping, old Marcus would would have to be one bad SOB to have stooped me! Me or him one would take an a$$ whoopin!
